I just wanted to post a quick carousel collection for those of you that didn’t yet get a chance to see some of our flood stories. We are all safe, in good spirits, and ready for this storm to be past us. Tuesday we are expecting one more potential surge of water, but should not be as intense Lord willing. There is still quite a bit of water around us, but we now have vehicle access all the way to our home thankfully.

After everything fully settles we’ll assess the damages in detail to see how much our insurance will help cover.

Again, thank you for checking in on us, and for offering your support! It really really means a lot to us! 🙏

I’ve lost a little bit of sleep as expected keeping watch around our home tonight (aka 2:45a). As some of you know, we are dealing with a catastrophic flood in our valley…or what is “expected” to be within the next 24hrs. We were told that in 500 years there hasn’t been water levels this intense (lets hope the weatherman is wrong). That’s also pre-dam era, so its hard to compare apples to apples, but simply said it’s a lot of water and a lot of families + homes that are and can be in danger. We’re praying for all of those already in the thick of it.

Thankfully Jules and I are taking on the challenge TOGETHER this time (and with our amazing friends + family). During 2021’s 31 year record flooding (our last one) I was found with my hands occupied, feeling helpless and overwhelmed while on a film assignment in Illinois. With less warning time to be of much help trooped it like an absolute BOSS without me (+ the backup dream team) as I watched our home turn into waterfront property via FaceTime (insanity).

One thing I do know for sure is that I not only married up, but I married one of the most brave & courageous women on the planet! In these circumstances and with her PTSD from the last flood I’m truly inspired by her holding so strong through it all…( 🫶 inspired). We got this again babe, and as long as we keep those smiles facing forward we can overcome anything! This songs for you. Love you!
