He led Nashville with 5 passing touchdowns to 4 different receivers last week against previously undefeated West Frankfort, while throwing for 238 yards in the air. V1047 and Farmers and Merchants National Bank in Nashville are teaming up for the Nashville High School Hornet of the Week. This week’s winner is the NCHS Girls Golf Team. They won the SIRR Mississippi Division Title on Tuesday for a 5th straight year, shooting a 359 and winning by 36 strokes. Brynn Stiegman won the tournament for a 4th straight year, shooting a 77, plus they had all conference honors to Arabella Alfeldt (2nd), Sadie Popejoy (6th) and Siena Popejoy (10th). They also placed 8th at the Gary Bair Invitational as a team on Thursday, Brynn Stiegman was 3rd overall and Sadie Popejoy 27th. Preliminary evidence gathered strongly supports that Amy Finney died from a gunshot wound during a domestic dispute with John Finney at their home. John Finney was arrested for the crime of First-Degree Murder and incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail to await his pretrial detention hearing.
