Can someone tell me how to keep my chicken littles from sleeping on the feed can? I've tried putting them on the roost ...

Can someone tell me how to keep my chicken littles from sleeping on the feed can? I've tried putting them on the roost bars below the older chickens but they just insist on making their way back to the can. I even put a bag of feed atop the can and they manage to huddle around it .... pics so you see what I mean

My husband did some updates in the rabbit colony. Bugs now has his own bachelor pad. Daisy and the grow outs have a big colony to themselves. Once the bucks start getting bigger, we put them in the upper hutches. We lost one of our does after her first litter. Luckily, the kits were old enough to be out on their own and Daisy helped with those littles too. We'll be keeping one of her girls to carry on Lola's legacy. I think this set up will help out a lot!!

When I need to check on the younger grow-outs in the colony, I toss their favorite spinach leaves in. One of our breeding does was found unalived a few weeks back. Luckily, her litter was old enough to be on feed when that happened. They are more shy than Daisy's litters. I think their not having a mom has made them a bit skittish. On an up note, we have some hutches built in the bigger colony. These will move into the bigger colony and Bugs can have his man-cave colony back.
