We would like to thank all the people who volunteered to come into the radio station and helped us record all new "liners" (the sound bites that play between songs) for our 2025 Christmas season. We will begin playing Christmas music, from ALL genres, the day after Thanksgiving. We'll start with just two an hour for the first few days, then play four for a week, then half and half for a week before going 100 percent through Christmas day

To help you beat the heat. The UT extension office is giving away free bowls of home made ice cream on the lawn of their office on College Street (beside to Post Office) from 10:30 to 1 today.

Our FM went down overnight due to an electrical problem. Thanks to the electric company that problem and our FM is now back on the air!

This week's Special Person of the Week is Brookanna Hutchins. She has one year left before obtaining her degree in Nursing. She is currently employed at FSB and the 421 Creamery. She's the daughter of Thomas and Tasha Hutchins and a native of Johnson County. She is very active at Nelson Chapel on Forge Creek, where she is a long time member of the Praise Team and recently organized an over night lock in at the church for young ladies

For the month of May we had an average high of 74 with an average low of 50. The total rain amount for the month was 7.19 inches with only nine days in May without any measurable rain.

The Kody Norris Show's new CD "Highfalutin Hillbilly" is now available for purchase and download. WMCT has added 4 cuts from the CD to its music rotation. Tune in starting today to hear music from this great CD from this local man and his group, who've been winning National honors and attention, including several appearances on the Grand Ol' Opry.
