The schedule has been released for Wilder Days 2026 in Mansfield, scheduled for September 25-26.

A burn ban is currently in effect for Wright County.

The Wright County Commission issued an official resolution for a "Declaration of Fire Danger" on Monday, Sep. 14.

According to the resolution, "Until the authority given in RSMo 49.266, the Board of County Commissioners does issue a burn ban. Violation of this burn ban is a class a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a $2,000 fine."

Commissioners proclaim a ban "on all open flames, fires, campfires (except in designated areas), trash, rubbish, shrubbery or other material of any kind, except by permit of the fire department having jurisdiction. This Resolution is to remain in effect for sixty (60) days or until rescinded or extended by the Board of Commissioners."
