Real Madrid defeated Cadiz in the first leg of its Copa Del Rey series the other day, but apparently did so using an ineligible player, one Denis Cheryshev. Cheryshev should have been ruled ineligible due to accumulation of yellow cards beginning last season while he was on loan at Villareal. Madrid will offer an explanation at some point today, but Cadiz is appealing the match, saying that Madrid should be disqualified from the competition.
