Mother Teresa once said, “We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.”..
In the Bible, Jesus watched as people gave to the temple treasury. Many gave out of their abundance, but one poor widow gave two small coins. It was everything she had. A small gift, with great value. (Mark 12:41–44, Luke 21:1–4)..
They say if you don’t stand for something, you stand for nothing.
For a long time, I wondered what I stood for...
I’m not loud with debate or politics… but I realize I DO stand for something:
I stand in support of helpers, givers, healers, and advocates...
I was raised by parents who fostered children.
I come from a family who built a horse rescue from nothing.
I now work with an organization of volunteers changing the way the skilled trades are seen, shared and supported...
Every day, I see small businesses and individuals giving what they can... money, goods, time, or simply kindness.
And it all matters...
Sometimes we hold back, thinking:
👉 “What I have is too small.”
👉 “It won’t make a difference.”
👉 “Someone else already has it covered.”

But it’s not small. It does make an impact. And, no... someone else does not have it all covered.
A dollar. An hour. A hand to lend. A spare item. A kind word...If it’s given with heart, it’s a beautiful gift.

So, don’t hold back. YOUR contribution carries weight.

It's World Beard Day and that's something I have some appreciation for here!
My husband did not sign up to be a "beard model" when he married me.
Boy.... he did not know what he was getting in to!!! 😝..
And, I did not know that beards required so much care and maintenance!!! 😲
Here, I was just thinking men were choosing the option that meant they didn't have to shave. I thought it was an "easy" choice...
Let me clear that up for anyone who may be wondering......
This particular beard gets special brushes, oils, regular trims, and at Christmas time...
I am painting every strand by hand......
with a mascara brush!!! ..
So... you betch-ya we are shouting out the Beard Love today from McGlynn Media! ..
I know sometimes he wants to just shave it off, but then I don't recognize him - so there's that! 🤣 (Ladies with bearded husbands, iykyk right!?)

Cristy and I have been working together for a few years now and I love being able to help her document her journey, showcase her accomplishments... and to honor her commitment to her craft. 💪 ..
Our shoots are always a blast because she comes ready to work, game for anything, and with a full suitcase in tow to be sure we have options! 😝..
One of these days, I will have to do a blast from the past montage of all of our shoots so far, but for today... here's a look at our most recent adventure.

These cool temps are pushing all the fall vibes, right!?
I'm over here holding on to every last drop of summer, but the reality check is here and with it comes scheduling photo sessions for all my clients who love the color pops that will happen soon.
