That's what this was, at a recent shoot with the crew of Allison's Dance Company, and it's definitely one of my favorites!

There's something about the shot that happens in between the others. ..
I just love natural moments.
They aren't always the ones you'll place in a yearbook, but they are the ones I still want you to see. These are the ones that we look at, as parents, and see the glint in their eyes, the tiny little nuances in expression, and it will forever hold the feeling of what it's like to "know" them, to be raising them.... recognizing things that make them just who they are...
You are beautiful when you are just being yourself.
Never forget that.

Celebrating 14 years of this guy today! I love that he's been modeling for me (often reluctantly 😝) since he was so little. His little face was on the first iteration of business cards that I ever used!
It's pretty amazing to reflect on our kids' growth and changes though, isn't it???
Pictures really are such great memory capsules.
They don't always understand why, as parents, we want to take a picture of every milestone.... but, someday they will.

Happy Birthday to the youngest of our bunch!❤
