In KMVT’s new, 4 day camp, we’ll be exploring the high-energy world of Film production by producing Sci-Fi film ideas in small groups. Our new genre based curriculum will allow an in-depth focus on advanced storytelling and filmmaking techniques centered around the Science Fiction stories that your kids love.

Deconstruct media narratives in KMVT’s FAKE NEWS Workshop this summer!

Confront modern disinformation techniques by collaborating with a team of creative peers to produce your own fake news story. In this new 2-week workshop, we’ll be developing our media literacy skills through hands-on exploration of the broadcast journalism workflow. Our new extended curriculum will allow in-depth lessons on advanced media production techniques.

This workshop is designed to prepare you for the rapidly changing media landscape by illuminating the subjectivity introduced in every stage of the production pipeline. As part of a KMVT crew, you’ll explore every role–from camera operator, sound, and lights, to writer, broadcast director, and news anchor extraordinaire! Discover what it is really like behind the scenes at a TV channel by working with a team of creative peers to produce engaging livestreams. In KMVT’s new 1-week workshop, we’ll be exploring the increasingly popular, but technically demanding world of live broadcasts by developing our own live TV shows. Our newly created broadcast curriculum leverages our channel’s industry standard equipment and experienced staff of broadcast technicians to offer a truly immersive and educationally enriching experience.

This workshop is designed to give you all the tools you need to become a streamer through hands-on experience with industry standard broadcast equipment as well as software you can use at home! As part of a KMVT crew, you’ll explore every role–from camera operator, sound, and lights, to live graphics, broadcast director, and streamer extraordinaire! Whether your goal is to create a news broadcast, talk show, or Twitch style gaming streams, this camp will prepare you to stream like a pro!
