Famed Indy Car reporter Robin Miller passed away today after a long battle with cancer. I had the privilege of meeting him at the Performance Racing Industry trade show on several occasions and interviewing him a few times. Our conversations were always informative and filled with great stories and his unabashed opinions on the state of racing.
I asked for his thoughts on what I was trying to do with racing coverage and was surprised to learn that he read my articles and considered me to be not only a fan but a racer as well. Something that only other racers would truly understand. I will miss our conversations and his story telling.

Registration forms have been updated today. We greatly appreciate all those who are getting on this before the May meeting on the 25th. We will work to get all the membership cards printed for that meeting. You now have to choices for registrations one for the competitor ($50) and one for general membership ($30)

Wisconsin Dells WI 5/14/2020
Hello Everyone, Dells Raceway Park has been approved to open up this Saturday May 16th for a Tune & Test Day for 11am to 5pm. As we head into Mid-May and we all are recognizing the changes that the world has gone through in the last 75-days, we are grateful for this opportunity from Juneau County Officials & Law enforcement to have our practice day with some COVID-19 rules in place for this weekend. We need to follow the guidelines set forth for this Saturday & then Tuesday May 19th I will have a review with Juneau County Sheriff Dept & they will set forth guidelines to follow based on results of this Saturday's test & tune secession for our season opener on May 23rd.

Pit Gates will open at 10 am, with the following guidelines in place.
•Phase-1 May 16th-Practice Day for Race Teams from 11am to 5pm (No spectators in attendance, Grand Stands will be Closed, No Food or Beverage Service on property) Each Team in pit area will have a pit stall, cars/haulers will be parked in every other stall giving a minimum of 10’ social distancing. Each team will be limited to a max of 5 people including driver, with a participant maximum of 250.

• DRIVERS AND CREW
• 1.) Please stay within your respective pit area as much as possible.
• 2.) When outside your pit area, please remain at least 6 feet from others who are not in your group of 5.
• 3.) You may go up and watch the practice secession. However when spectating from the pit area you must sit in every other row of pit bleachers & maintain social distancing of 6 feet of people not in your base group of 5.
• 4.) It is highly recommended everyone in the pit area wear a mask.
• 5.) When checking in or getting a pit pass at the pit shack, remain at least 6 feet apart.
• 6.) If you do not feel well, please stay home.
• 7.) Refusal to follow these guidelines may result in removal from the property.
• Track Employees
• 1) Follow the CDC guidelines set in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19, including pre-screen measures of employees temperature and any symptoms prior to starting work & regular monitoring along with social distancing, washing hands properly, & wearing of facemask.
• Adhere to these guidelines. If everyone actively follows these, we will be able to hold our event safely.
