Yooo, whats going on everyone? I know it’s been a while since I have posted and I miss it already! I had to eat tag 🍲 in Illinois 🦌 last season and get back to work 😂 However, I have started scouting Illinois and Indiana public already and cannot express how important it is to get out now before the vegetation growth starts and the 🦟s come out.

With 🦃 season fast approaching, I am getting daily pics of some nice to me 🦃. I am not a big turkey hunter, and have no clue how to call other than the slate, but I want to try wild turkey. I am not sure if these are even nice birds or not 😆 Would any of you be interested in filming a turkey hunt this season?

We are up and at it again for an evening hunt! Had a decent buck I would definitely shoot show up on camera an hour after I left this stand last night, not even 15 yard shot. Let’s see if he will daylight this evening! Good luck to those out! 🤜🏼🏹🦌🇺🇸

Had a heck of an evening in the Illinois public woods! Haven’t been seeing much at Iroquois county, so I tried a different park and it was much better! Had a stud come in to 40 yards and jumped the string at release. I gave him the ol “meh” and he has absolutely heard that before and right as I got the pin settled a nano second after the meh, he jumped and took off and my arrow whistled by his brisket area as he was turning! Almost got it on film too, getting better 😆 I took a video of the setup, but had very little service again. Yellow circle is where I stopped him. It’s go time, he was out cruising looking for a fight or a partner! 🤜🏼🏹🦌

This is so disturbing! Exactly why real ethical bow hunters do not take head/neck shots… this deer will now suffer until death and that is just unacceptable! I can only hope this was an accident, but this day and age, you never know… 😔

I’ll be honest, it has been very tough here at Iroquois, hunters everywhere (almost literally). Persistence is 🔑 and we will keep after them! It’s go time! Illinois hunting this evening back on some 🌰 next to a large field (not even sure what it is growing tbh). Thicket sanctuary (no hunting allowed back there) is behind me and we have a south wind which should be good for where I am. Good luck tonight if you are out! 🤜🏼🏹🦌🇺🇸

Up and setup here in Illinois, day #2. Beautiful out here! Got a little creek running below behind me and nothing but thicket and prairie grass fields out in front with a trail in front. This 🥶 front has got the big 🦌 on their fitting hitting active scrapes. Cameras have been on 🔥 all night! The young 🦌 have been hitting this scrape for a few weeks now, but nothing worth noting. However, this morning with the cold, it’s got this dude amped up! This is an Indiana public land stud! 🤜🏼🏹🦌🇺🇸

👀 that cold front next week?! Make sure to call in sick or use that pto now! 😂

Be sure to be in the stand in the evenings on ag fields or my favorite, the 🌰’s. Entrance is key if hunting the mornings on these fronts, slip in back side deep off feed trees or ag fields between bedding and you will be gold (I wouldn’t push it, very hard this time of year with the crunchy 🍂 falling and mature bucks still limited daylighting)! Don’t forget the wind 🌬️ always play the wind, always!!! And most importantly - wear a safety harness if hunting elevated! 🦌 🏹 🇺🇸
