🗣️ What’s up everyone, haven’t been active much as I’ve been waiting on my shipment of strings, bow press, broadheads, and other little miscellaneous stuff to get in and just flat out busy as I run my own business and have 4 kids at home 😂 and in the midst of all this in the last 2 months we found out our pup (she was 3 going on 4) had lymphoma and we had to lay her to rest 2 weeks ago 😢 😭 . And that was and still is super tough on the heart.

To be honest, it’s been a weird beginning of the season already, I have only had one deer that I would put on the wall show up on any of my 9 camera locations from public to private, Illinois and Indiana, so its been kinda discouraging. The acorns are dropping crazy and the velvet is coming off, so I’m hoping a mature deer shows up or I will target this unicorn deer (as im calling him) I’m getting pics of, one side has double split brow, other side has a unicorn coming out of his base. Show yours off if you got one you are targeting! 🦌 🏹 🇺🇸

🗣️ Whats up everyone, hope you all are having a wonderful and relaxing Sunday! I took a buddy and did some cam stuff today, it was hot but we bit the bullet and got r done and got some miles in!

Put up a couple tactacams and a stealth and not going to bs, I like the pic quality and info with these tactacams 📸 it’s that time the 🦌 season will be here before we know it 😊 🏹 🦌 🇺🇸

😢 As much as I hate to do it, I switched over to the Beast broadheads for this season 🏹 .

Really sucks Feradyne and muzzy discontinued the best head they ever produced the Trocar HB-Ti hybrid head. I am a very brand loyal type of person, my buddies and I have been shooting muzzy since the first bow I ever owned at 12. With that said, I can’t wait to see how sharp these new Beast heads are! 🏹 🦌 🇺🇸

This map shows movements for the same buck as our post from a few days ago, just one year later. He's now 6.5-years-old. GPS locations are recorded every 15 minutes and shown for the month of October. How does the food-cover theory hold up now, and why the difference?

1. The food-cover pattern from last year is gone. He now only makes 3 trips to the field from last year, and he doesn't stop to eat. Why? It's no longer planted in soybeans! There is no longer a destination food source in his summer range, so the food-cover pattern disappears.
2. His bedding habits are even more sporadic than last year. His bedding area is still the same 200-ac patch of timber, but now his beds are scattered more uniformly throughout.
3. Hunting this buck will be more difficult than the previous year. He's no longer on a predictable food-cover pattern, and hunting him will require getting up-close and personal in his bedding area. Which bed will he be in? Who knows! He has dozens of beds scattered throughout.

This buck is not an anomaly; we see this pattern in most of our GPS data. Food-cover patterns are strongest when there is a destination-style food source, such as a large soybean, clover, or deer vetch field within a buck's summer range.

Take-home point? Habitat management efforts that prioritize high-quality bedding areas and large, destination-style food sources are an excellent way to capitalize on early-season buck movement patterns. Once fall rolls around, bucks get much less predictable!

Yooo, whats going on everyone? I know it’s been a while since I have posted and I miss it already! I had to eat tag 🍲 in Illinois 🦌 last season and get back to work 😂 However, I have started scouting Illinois and Indiana public already and cannot express how important it is to get out now before the vegetation growth starts and the 🦟s come out.

With 🦃 season fast approaching, I am getting daily pics of some nice to me 🦃. I am not a big turkey hunter, and have no clue how to call other than the slate, but I want to try wild turkey. I am not sure if these are even nice birds or not 😆 Would any of you be interested in filming a turkey hunt this season?
