Hello friends. We would like to take a moment to talk about what’s going on in cities all across the country, and would like to make our stance on the matter very clear.
Firstly, we would like to say that, without question, we stand in solidarity with BIPOC and allies who are standing up against systemic injustices that BIPOC have to live in fear of everyday. The savage murder of George Floyd is sadly only the tip of the iceberg, and we feel that the anger and unrest being expressed across the nation is justified. Until there is justice there can be no peace, and all lives cannot matter until black lives matter.
We feel very strongly about this, therefore, if you refuse to stand with those who are fighting for their right to live, then you will no longer be welcomed by our community. Silence at a time like this is inexcusable, and goes against everything we stand for. Silence = Complacency.
For those who want to act, we would like to highlight a peaceful protest occurring in Muncie, Indiana this Thursday. Also, we would like to lend our support to the Black Lives Matter by utilizing our platform to compile a list of resources that supporters can use to donate to a worthy cause, learn about their privilege, educate themselves, and demand action. If any BIPOC knows of a resource that they feel should be shared, please feel free to DM us and we will add it to the list.
Black. Lives. Matter.
