Just took a measurement of the snow. 3" so far. Snow has stopped for now.

Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Saturday and Sunday.
Looks like it's going to start off as rain and as the front progresses it will change to snow.
Predictions, as usual, are highly variable. This storm is no different.
Remember, this is a Watch, not a Warning. No reason for panic, just be prepared, just in case.

If I recall correctly, last year we had several storm watches that caused panic. How many of those storms actually happened? One, that's it.

My faith in local weather forecasting is slim to none as it seems to be based more on ratings than reality.

We are either going to have freezing rain, which is worse than snow, or about 3-4" of snow. Remember, it's happening on New Year's Day so even though this storm has been predicted for the last few days, the roads will probably be bad. If nothing pans out, go visit family and friends!
