The Murdo Coyote has provided local news to Murdo and Jones County since 1904. In June 2025, it was purchased by Mishayla Buchannan, with a new business name of JC Publishing.

For the month of July, JC Publishing, is offering $5 off of a year subscription to the Murdo Coyote for new subscribers. That’s $40/ year for local and in-county addresses, $45 for out of county/state addresses.
