Walking the Walk
Galatians 5:16, 22-25
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,.. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
For historical context this epistle was written by the Apostle Paul around AD 48-49 to the church of the Galatians, and the text is surrounded by warnings about types of sins to avoid. I suppose that the Galatians, like all of us, dealt with the works of the flesh. These fruits listed above are guidance for the Christian walk. Walking in the Spirit is an experience, but some of these gifts are implemented when needed. The gift we dread is longsuffering, or being slow to anger, which is not always easy to walk in, especially when you know that someone is pushing your buttons just for the sake of it.
Years ago, I was working offshore in the Gulf of America. On this particular job, I worked on a tugboat for a few days. For some reason, the company I was working for would always announce in one way or another that I was a Christian; I don’t know why, it seemed kind of demonic to me. Since they had made the announcement, there was an older deckhand, possibly in his late forties. He started making comments towards me. This went on for a couple of days. As I was walking alongside the side deck next to the wheelhouse, the deckhand was atop the wheelhouse mopping, and he intentionally sloshed water on top of me. I saw him change direction, and there was no doubt that he was provoking me. I knew what he was doing, and I replied something to the effect, “Come on, let’s be a little bit more careful.” Nothing mean or angry; he had been trying to push my buttons. I didn’t know why, but we had work to do, so worrying about his issues wasn't my main concern.
A day or two later, in the galley, the crew brought up the topic of being or getting mad. When the subject came up, I told them it took a lot to make me angry. The deckhand replied, "That’s for sure.” It was then that I realized that he was trying to get to me because I was a Christian and that he wanted me to blow up at him so that for the rest of his life he could have something to say about the Christian who got angry, and we all know he would have never told what he done to provoke me. He seemed to leave me alone afterwards.
My point is in this case longsuffering was something I had to work for; it was a conscious effort not to get angry. Notice longsuffering proceeds meekness, & temperance meekness means strength under control, and temperance is self-control. Before meekness and temperance come love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, & faith, the qualities that help us operate with longsuffering, meekness, & temperance.
In a way, we need to “double up” on these first qualities so that the latter fruits can be exercised. Let the Holy Spirit teach you through the reading of your Bible, and allow Him to cultivate these qualities in your lifeHe is: Jehovah Shalom

ROADBLOCKS
The reason you feel temptation for certain things and certain sins is very specific to what you are supposed to do.
If you have the urge to smoke or damage your lungs, it's because your voice was meant to worship and be heard, and the enemy is trying to silence you.
If you have crippling self-doubt and insecurity, it's because you are meant to lead and inspire; if you weren't dangerous to darkness, it wouldn't try to mute your confidence.
If you experience constant distraction or procrastination, it's because you carry a strategy vision and ideas from heaven. The enemy delays you because he can't stop you; only you can.
If you have an addiction to lust or po*******hy, it's because you carry a deep capacity for intimacy, covenant, and healing. Perverting love is how Satan prevents true restoration.
If you have a fear of rejection or abandonment, it's because you carry a spirit of belonging and reconciliation. You were made to gather the outcasts, so he tries to make you feel like one.

Prayer Stop on the air has a new time slot on Sunday Mornings:
8:15 to 8:45 AM.
This Sunday Bishop Carl Brown will be sharing his testimony.

06/23/2025

I wanted to share this. I was praying yesterday and I asked the Lord what I could pray for. Mostly I was thinking about peace in the United States and I felt like the Lord let me know to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. So I did. But I was thinking about it today and it dawned on me that if we have peace in Jerusalem, that means peace for the world.

Do You Believe in Miracles?

Well, the Lord told me He would open a door for me—and just moments later, I discovered that my old time slot on WGNS was available. WGNS was the very first radio station I ever broadcast on, and this Sunday, I’m grateful to resume Prayer Stop on the Air after an 18-month break.

I just realized something incredible: this Sunday is Father’s Day.

What’s the significance?

On Father’s Day, the Lord led me to Dearborn, MI on a mission trip—the first time I had a vision of Father God on His throne.

The following year, on Father’s Day, He had me launch the Prayer Stop on the Air radio program.

And now, once again, on Father’s Day, I return to the airwaves.

Only God could orchestrate something so perfect.

Are You Ready?

“Then Samuel took a vial of oil, poured it upon his head, kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?”

1 Samuel 10:1

The moment Samuel anointed Saul, the future king of Israel, is very tender. Samuel is prophesying for the Lord. He has Samuel anoint him with oil and then gently kisses him on the cheek. Yahweh pronounces Saul captain over His inheritance, which is the Jewish nation.

Samuel is giving up his authority over the nation of Israel, for he was the prophet of the land. Now, Saul is taking the position of king over God’s kingdom, and Samuel gives away his authority with a kiss and a blessing.

One of life's greatest hurts in the natural is receiving a demotion as a manager or supervisor back down to your previous position, even when you have done nothing wrong and performed well. I’ve been there, and it is hard to take. Samuel had done nothing wrong and, in fact, Samuel was a sincere prophet who led well, who judged with righteousness in accordance with God’s laws, and there was no fault found with his leadership.

Samuel teaches us a lesson on love and grace. It’s not Saul’s fault that the people wanted a king; at that time, in fact, Saul ran from the promotion. Viewing this from a point of grace, Samuel offered the promotion with love and grace. If you ever find yourself in this situation, remind yourself of Samuel. I’m not saying to kiss your new boss, but be someone God would be pleased with.

The Lord uses the word “captain” and not the title of king; the two have different meanings. A captain from the Hebrew word “naw-need” designates that Saul is to occupy the front line; the kiss in Hebrew, “naw-shak’” means to weapon up/or fasten up. God is compassionately sending Saul out to battle and arming him with spiritual weaponry, almost as if He knows this soldier may not return from battle. Not long after Saul was anointed king, he became royalty, which appeared to be one of Saul’s character deficits. And was later removed by God.

Here, we see the dichotomy between Saul and Samuel; one steps down with grace and love, the other with bitterness, jealousy, and hatred, which leads to his eventual death. Saul forgot he was protecting God’s kingdom. Instead, Saul was trying to protect his own throne. When you get that coveted promotion, be like Samuel, knowing that the devil does not come in with an announcement that he will bring you down through your character flaws; that trumpet was sounded the day you received Christ as your savior.

In order to take on the promotion, you must be prepared to take on the battles.

Preparations of the Heart March 5, 2025
Mark 3:25
"If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand" (KJV).
In Mark 3:25, we are warned that a house divided against itself will not stand. As a nation, we are witnessing a growing division instead of striving to heal and bring people together. No one needs me to tell them where we are; we are divided. We should be in a period of reconciliation, yet our division is only growing. It feels as though we are fighting the wrong enemy—each other.
In the prophetic book of Isaiah, it reads:
Isaiah 14:16
"They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms?" (KJV)
Isaiah is prophesying the future of Satan, where those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will look down into the fires of hell and see him in torment, wondering how he caused so much death and destruction. This is a future event, but what do we do until then? And how can we defeat him?
2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (KJV).
Something worth noting in this scripture is that God isn’t calling sinners to repentance; He’s calling His saints to repentance. Maybe it’s time we, as Christians, put away our idols. In this case, I am referring to anything that takes priority over God, and for most of us, that would probably be politics. Red against Blue, Blue against Red—sooner or later, we’ll all be misled. If only we could surrender our nation’s sins and place all of it under the Blood of the Lamb, we could change the color of our flag to white—white for surrender. But first, we have to raise His banner in our own hearts, a heart of self-surrender, and begin praying for our nation’s forgiveness.
Let’s surrender.

Taking Power March 1, 2025
Revelation 12:11 (AMP)
"And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death."
This verse profoundly declares how we, as believers, conquer the enemy—through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. But how do we apply the blood in our daily lives? One way is through communion, where we remember and partake in Christ’s sacrifice.
I take communion often, sometimes with close friends, and each time, it is a moment of prayer, revelation, and transformation. Communion is not just a ritual—it’s a learning experience that deepens my understanding of the power of Christ’s sacrifice. Recently, as I meditated on Revelation 12:11, I realized that this verse is directly connected to communion. The victory it speaks of is made real through the body and blood of Jesus, which we partake in as an act of faith.
Luke 22:19-20 (AMP)
"And when He had taken bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This is My body, which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, 'This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.'”
Just as modern science has discovered ways to modify RNA—changing the very blueprint of how our bodies produce proteins—communion is a spiritual transformation that alters our very nature. While gene therapy can modify physical traits, communion changes us at a deeper level—it aligns us with Christ, strengthens our spirit, and equips us for battle.
When we take communion, we are partaking in spiritual DNA transformation. The blood of Jesus is not just symbolic—it is a weapon of victory. His body was broken for us, and in response, our lives become a living offering to Him. Our words, spoken in faith, become swords in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), cutting down the enemy’s lies.
Through communion, we don’t just remember Christ’s sacrifice—we step into the power of His victory.
