We recently made a quick stop at Twin Yolk Breakfast and Lunch Scratch Kitchen and left very full and very happy.

Run by husband-and-wife duo Ron and Anna, Twin Yolk is a breakfast + lunch spot on Church Street serving up scratch-made comfort food with a whole lot of heart. After running a successful café in town for years, they took a leap and opened this new chapter—named for their kiddos!

On the menu during our visit: a Belgian Waffle, a Bacon Burger, and a BLT + Chicken sandwich—all super satisfying, and perfect for a mid-day pick-me-up.

If you're looking for something local, laid-back, and made from scratch, give Twin Yolk a try. They have so many choices for a satisfying meal.

LOCAL team member Faith recently made a trip back to her hometown of Murfreesboro to visit old friends—and naturally had to stop by a longtime local favorite, Slick Pig BBQ.

While there, she had a chance to chat with the owner Mr. Jerry Robinson, one of the original family members behind the restaurant. If you see him when you stop in, be sure to say hello—he’s a big part of what makes the place so special.

Faith admits she got a little too excited to dig in and may have forgotten to take many photos of the food (relatable, right?). But let’s just say the barbecue, banana pudding, and chess pie were absolutely worth it, and now she has the perfect excuse to make another trip. 😉

With its rich history, welcoming atmosphere, and food that locals have loved for three decades now, Slick Pig BBQ continues to be a true Murfreesboro staple.

Terri Leigh's Boutique in Murfreesboro isn’t just a boutique—it’s a space built with heart, resilience, and a whole lot of style.

Owner Terri opened the store 10 years ago after her own battle with breast cancer, and what started in a tiny shop just a few doors down has grown into a local favorite. Her goal? To connect with other women, celebrate every shape and size, and make shopping a feel-good experience.

You’ll find stylish clothing in sizes XS–3XL, plus accessories, skincare, jewelry, and thoughtful gifts. Some of our favorite finds?

One of our team members recently made a stop at a Murfreesboro classic—’ Restaurant (Murfreesboro Location) —to grab some food for the road and a little extra comfort to take home.

Having grown up eating at Demos’, it’s one of her longtime favorites. This time, she ordered the mozzarella chicken (marinara on the side—no mess while driving!), a half order of cheese toast, and of course, a quart of their baked chicken and rice soup—her go-to comfort food for years.

Fun fact: back before meal delivery services were a thing, her mom once drove from Wi******er to Murfreesboro just to pick up that soup when she was sick. 🧡 That’s the kind of local love we live for.

Everything was as delicious as ever, and we love that you can now order their famous soup, seasonings, lasagna, pot roast, and more straight from their website and deliverable anywhere in the Continental US.

While Murfreesboro will always be the original favorite for some of us, Demos’ also has locations in Lebanon and Hendersonville, so there’s more than one way to enjoy a comforting plate (or bowl).

LOCAL Murfreesboro recently stopped by 𝐑𝐞-𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 —a thoughtfully curated boutique that brings together vintage finds, local makers, and small-batch goods all under one roof.

Founded in 2017 by Terry Lea, Re-Invintage began in a cozy log cabin shared with a hair salon and quickly grew into something much bigger—thanks to a little faith, a lot of community support, and a love for all things unique. They moved into their current space in 2020, right at the start of the pandemic, and used that time to carefully build out the store with help from their loyal vendors and customers.

Today, Re-Invintage features over 30 vendors and consignors, offering everything from vintage furniture and decor to handmade gifts, American-made paints, and goods from local artisans. The space is intentionally designed to feel warm and cohesive—you might not even realize it’s a multi-vendor shop at first glance!

Terry shared how proud they are to support side hustlers, full-time makers, and independent small business owners—because it’s these kinds of businesses that make towns like Murfreesboro feel special.

Re-Invintage has been voted a local favorite gift shop, vintage store, and home decor destination many times over—and after our visit, we completely understand why.

We had so much fun exploring the variety of treasures inside and couldn’t resist bringing home a hand-poured resin magnet. We already can’t wait to go back! Do you have a favorite find from Re-Invintage?

We made a stop at Boro Bowls and were instantly charmed by their colorful menu and fresh, feel-good options—from smoothie bowls and loaded toast to cold drinks and coffee.

We tried the Paradise Lemonade, and it was just as refreshing as it sounds—perfect for a sunny day. 🌞🍋

Whether you're in the mood for a green smoothie, acai bowl, or fully-loaded toast with all the toppings, there’s something here for everyone. And with so many fresh ingredients and customizable options, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to and try something new each time.
