He’s here! Brooks Walker Francis 🩵
We had a long and emotional labor that ended in a C-section because his heart wasn’t tolerating contractions well. It was really unexpected after four uncomplicated vaginal births, but we’re so thankful we made the decision when we did. We later found out his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and torso, so each contraction was cutting off his oxygen. We’re incredibly grateful it didn’t turn into an emergency and that he arrived safely. He also surprised us with a precious little cleft lip that didn’t show up on ultrasound. It’s very minor, and his palate and gums are completely normal. Just a small cosmetic difference we can address in the future. We think it’s pretty cute and love how extra special he is 🥰 Thank you all so much for your prayers, messages, and love over the past few days. It truly means the world to us.
