Today is International Women’s Day✨

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it really means to lead as a woman.

Not perfectly. Not loudly. Simply with compassion, courage, and responsibility to the women around me.

This year is rooted in that commitment.💎

Serving as Mrs. Kentucky Globe 2026, completing my training as a Compassionate Leadership Ambassador, raising and teaching our next generation, preparing to run 13.1 miles for the W.I.N. Foundation, supporting women rebuilding their lives after abuse.

Titles are nice. The Crowns are stunning. However, the real work is what we do with them.

To every woman rising, rebuilding, recalibrating, adapting, leading quietly, or starting again today—
I SEE YOU!

With deep roots in educational excellence, I am incredibly proud of our community as Murray State University continues to lead the state in veterinary science with the development of its Doctorate of Veterinary Science program. Praying for a smooth and successful accreditation process. ✨🐎

BREAKING: Following last month’s approval by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education of Murray State University’s proposal to offer a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, the MSU Board of Regents has officially voted to create a College of Veterinary Medicine. The university would be the first in Kentucky to offer a DVM degree.

Pictured above giving their report to the board are Dr. Laura Ken Hoffman, founding dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, and Senior Associate Provost Dr. Bob Pervine.

The vote on the veterinary college took place after a report to the Academic Excellence and Scholarly Activities Committee. Several minutes later, after another report to the committee, the board also approved a new degree program, a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence.

It was such an honor to celebrate these talented and courageous students! 🩵❄️🌹

AnnaMarie Ulrich, (center) 2026 Mrs. Kentucky Globe and a Murray Independent Bus Driver, gifted the Murray Elementary School Drama students with a rose for their amazing performance in Frozen. Murray Elementary School Drama Club students performed in four shows of FROZEN at Murray State University Johnson Theatre this past weekend.

Ulrich serves s a bus driver for the Murray students and will compete for the national title of Mrs. Globe in California this summer.

Weekends look different in this season.

Huge THANK YOU to MES Drama Club for the love and for inviting me onstage to celebrate these incredible students. Watching them shine with love and courage was the highlight of my weekend!

I am proud to be able to support both fantastic casts and show up for this excellent community.

Fire Horse does not always roar.
Sometimes she bows her head before she runs.

Today I remember that I am dust.
And still deeply loved.

I am giving up fast food this Lent.
I am picking up the Rosary again.
I am asking God to refine the fire instead of extinguish it.

Eleven years ago this Lenten season, I converted.
Every year since, this day feels like coming home.

Sitting where history moved and where it was once restricted moves a person in a way words can't describe.
At the Civil Rights Museum, I was reminded that progress didn’t come from comfort. It came from courage, persistence, and people who kept showing up anyway.

I am a bus driver.
I am a mother.
I am biracial.

I am teaching our children that history isn’t distant — it’s lived, carried, and still unfolding.

I teach our son about responsibility, voice, and the weight of standing upright in a world that watches him closely.

I teach our daughter about possibility, brilliance, and the courage to take up space where doors were once closed.

Same history.
Different lessons.
Both rooted in truth.

I am one thing.
Neither are they.
