State of Alabama - Please do better!
My name is Josey Bee Trawick and I have the following medical conditions and symptoms. I have only listed the symptoms and/or side effects that I personally experience and I have been denied both SSDI and SSI by the Social Security Administration. I have no income, I am unable to work, I have no insurance to pay for medical visits or medications.
CML (Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia),
Nausea, vomiting, acid reflux cramps, gas, bloating, severe diarrhea, severe fatigue, dizziness, and poor balance. CML is treated with Imatinib which exacerbates existing mental health conditions. I experience brain fog also called "chemo brain" or "Gleevec brain" which are a host of problems with memory, concentration, and thinking.
Ocular Histoplasmosis
Blindness, eye pain, eye bleeding, retinal bleeding, retinal scarring, double vision, limited depth perception.
Meniere’s Disease
Vertigo, dizziness, loss of balance, ear pain, ear fullness, tinnitus, and hearing loss.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Vivid nightmares and flashbacks that feel like a traumatic event is happening to me again. Guilt, shame, fear, dissociation, difficulty concentrating, increased startle response, difficulty sleeping, headaches, and gastrointestinal issues.
Major Depressive Disorder
Depressed mood, persistent feelings of sadness, emptiness, hopelessness, loss of interest in activities that were once enjoyable. Changes in appetite, insomnia, excessive sleeping, fatigue, loss of energy, difficulty concentrating, making decisions, feeling sluggish, forgetful, indecisive, restlessness, anxiety, digestive problems, difficulty thinking clearly, problems with memory, and procrastination.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Excessive and persistent worry that interferes with my daily functioning. Feeling on edge, tense, irritability, restlessness, rapid heartbeat, sweating, trembling, shortness of breath, muscle tension, headaches, stomach upset, and fatigue, difficulty concentrating, focusing, poor memory, trouble making decisions, feeling overwhelmed, procrastination, insomnia, changes in appetite. I also avoid situations that trigger anxiety.
Obsessive Compulsive Behavior
I count things endlessly.
I pray that attention will be brought to this matter as I have worked and paid into this very system. And to tell you the truth, I would love to go back to work but not with these conditions.
