I’ve heard the phrase “Never hunted out!” so many times. I got to experience this at a closed school site I have hunted many times. I continue to be surprised by finding things in ground that I know I have covered! It’s just wild to me! 🤯

I got a nice 1951 Rosie, fragments of a toy 1950s Wyatt Earp badge (You can see in an additional pic of what it looks like new.) and a a 1937 wheatie. I also found clad coins and a bling earring.

More surprises, learned new things and had another fun hunt! 👍🏼🎉

What a cool mail day! I never thought I would get excited about a pull tab, but today is the day! 😁

Tim AKA “Trash” Chipkin is the talented metalsmith who made this amazing silver pull tab! Now I have to find a proper silver necklace for it.

Ever had a hunt where you didn’t find anything great? This was that hunt for me.

I was detecting at a closed school site and it looked like I was digging just modern clad and junk.

It wasn’t until after the hunt when I was cleaning my finds did I something interesting.

My FIRST counter stamped coin! It appears to be a Masonic symbol. I don’t think it’s rare or valuable but it sure is cool and in great shape! This made my hunt! 😊

Mrs. Ripcode and I are back home after a wonderful (2) weeks in Ireland! 🇮🇪 The trip home was a long day and the time change is a doozy. 🫩 I had a cold starting on day (2) of vacation so I am about done with it. Mrs. Ripcode must have caught a bug during the end as she is all congested and with a sore throat. We are both back to work today. Back to reality! 🥴 I’ll have a new video and post toward the end of this week. We’ll also sprinkle in some vacation pics but not so many as to bore you! 😂

Thanks for your support and patience and we’ll be back to a more regular schedule soon! 😊

Our friend Ace of Swing4TheRing calls this technique Eyetrac! 👀 I like to call it Treasure Vision!

Today while on vacation in Ireland, not metal detecting, Mrs. Ripcode spotted a surface find. A bling ear ring! She has a great treasure eye for surface finds! 👀🏴‍☠️

I realized that two years ago today was my first time out metal detecting. At that time I had a Garrett Ace 300! You can see my finds of that hunt in the second pic.

When I started this hobby I was doing it by myself. Along the way Mrs. Ripcode joined me in the hobby! It has been wonderful having a partner that is also a spouse! ❤️

I currently run a Manticore and Mrs. Ripcode runs an Equinox 900. I started with the Garrett Ace 300, then went to the Garrett AT Max, then the Equinox 900 and finally the Manticore. Mrs. Ripcode started with the Garrett Apex and then went to the Equinox 900.

What a journey it has been! We are each still learning our machines and the more we use them the more in tune with them we become!

Know that everyone starts out digging junk and as time goes on you’ll learn your machine and find those treasures! 🎉
