I had a fun day of curb strip detecting! Before heading out, I did a little homework—checking historic aerials and researching the ages of the houses in the area. A little preparation can go a long way! 😊

🔎 Notable Finds:
• 191? wheat penny (super crusty!)
• 1920 wheat penny
• 1942 wheat penny
• 1946 wheat penny
• Pocket watch internals
• Interesting button

No silver this time, but I’m not discouraged. If I keep putting in the time and digging the right spots, I know it’s only a matter of time before some silver shows up! 👍🏼

⭐ Special Moments:
One of the best parts of the day was getting to hunt with Practical Ken and Jeff’s Obsessions. The stars really have to align for all of us to get out together! It was also great meeting a local detectorist, Mike.

Good finds, good company, and time spent outdoors—hard to ask for more than that! 😊

I can retire in a few years. Thankfully they make a light weight / less complicated unit for us older hunters. 😂
