Work has been so busy for me it has been making it tough to get out and hunt. Work and yard work is killing my free time! 😅

I was sent to Grayling for (3) days of work training and stayed in Ga***rd. Swing4TheRing suggested I try Otsego Lake State Park (which my hotel was only 12 minutes from!)

I brought my gear and had time on one day to hunt.

I was in the water for about (2) hours. It was so quiet I thought my detector was broken! I didn’t find any trash or pull tabs. It was weird! In the last half hour I started finding targets. A rusty button, some clad coins, a bling cross and then the find of the day!

It rang up a weird, bouncy 64-72 so I was not expecting a ring in the scoop. It’s tungsten carbide and it looks really nice! It’s a ring! 🎉

This place has been on our list to try out and we finally made it happen! Mia's Village Eats in Spring Lake, Michigan. The menu selection was hard as we were both hungry! I decided on the brisket sandwich and Mrs. Ripcode had the build your own pizza!

We placed our order and went next door to Stan’s Bar. While we enjoyed some cold adult beverages the staff at Mia’s delivered our food! How convenient is that?!?😊

The brisket sandwich was delicious and flavorful. Mrs. Ripcode is not a brisket fan but she tried a bite and was impressed. That says a lot.

The pizza had pepperoni, meatballs and banana peppers. The crust was a perfect combination of crispy and chewy. Great sauce!

What a super first time eating there! We’ll for sure go back and try their other offerings! We recommend you give them a try! 👍🏼

Mrs. Ripcode and I attended our FIRST seeded hunt which was put on by the West Michigan Detector Club this past Sunday!

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the members and John Dudley! We felt comfortable right away!

The event started off with a delicious lunch which gave us time to socialize.

After lunch John gave us a briefing about the event and the rules.

Then it was GO TIME! 🏳️ Mrs. Ripcode and I had a blast with both of us running around and trying to find targets! We both did well and found a lot of cool things! 🏁

After the hunt was the token drawing, raffle of silver and copper and a 50/50 raffle!

What an amazing FIRST for us! We found cool things and also made some new friends! ❤️

If you are new or starting out, find and join a local club. It makes the hobby even more fun!

Jon at Detector Warehouse was kind enough to send me some goodies to give away. Some lucky person will be able to grab these from the prize table at our first seeded hunt! I was gone for training this week, but when I got home yesterday the new cuff assembly was waiting for me! My AT Max is back in business! Thank you Garrett Metal Detectors for taking care of my issue so quickly! 👍🏼

Happy Wednesday all! I am super busy at work and in training today to Friday! I work Saturday. I have vacation on Sunday for Mrs.Ripcode’s and my first seeded hunt! 😊

Mrs. Ripcode and I attended the 113th Annual Gala at the Muskegon Museum of Art yesterday!

It was a day (and night) of lovely weather with great food, refreshing drinks, amazing silent art auctions, boisterous live auctions and a hopping dance floor! 🎊🍾🥃🍷

What a wonderful way to spend the day with the beautiful Mrs. Ripcode! ❤️
