Post-Election Reality Check

Let’s be honest — yesterday’s results said a lot about who we are as a community.

A candidate who’s spent decades serving our schools and families came within a few points of losing to someone with a record that should have disqualified him from public trust altogether. That’s not politics — that’s a moral failure by the voters who looked the other way.

We watched an honest, transparent campaign focused on students and integrity get smeared by fear tactics, false “Christian values,” and the usual buzzwords meant to divide neighbors. And somehow, it worked — just enough to expose how easily people will trade truth for team colors.

If you voted for corruption because it had the right letter next to the name, you didn’t “stand for your values” — you sold them.

We have a school district run by people who talk about faith, family, and freedom while proving none of the three. They’ve mistaken silence for wisdom and loyalty for leadership. It’s time to remind them that public office is a responsibility, not a trophy.

Over the next four years, this community has a choice: keep pretending not to see what’s happening, or start demanding honesty, transparency, and actual accountability. Because when elected officials play games with our kids’ futures, it’s not politics — it’s betrayal.

We see you. We’re watching. And this time, we won’t stay quiet.
