Not sure what kind of spider, couldn't get a better picture or find much information on what I searched, but the left photo is of a Gray hairstreak butterfly that somehow got in our house. Probably caught a ride on our garden veggies.

They're pretty cool... so the butterfly is facing down. The large orange spot bordered by black, white and orange lines and the two tail-like appendages that they can make twitch create a false "head" impression.

Your brain needs sound to stay sharp, and there is a link between hearing loss and dementia. If you’re experience hearing problems, please get it checked! I’d 💯 percent recommend Acute Hearing!

FULL STORY:

I often have trouble hearing people over the phone, on tv and in person, so much so that I always put people on speaker and leave subtitles on the tv. Recently, I thought my hearing and ability to remember had gotten worse, and I was asking Sam to repeat himself more than usual.

Since it had been YEARS since I had my hearing tested, I thought it was a good idea.

Samantha Head, the HIS at Acute Hearing in Murrells Inlet, was the best! She walked me through the workings of our ears, how the tests would be conducted and what my results meant. (Turns out, my issues are more focused related đŸ€Ł)

They are VERY thorough in their evaluation, even cleaning and examining your ears beforehand and having a familiar voice (Sam in my case 😁) conduct one of the tests.

I plan on getting my hearing checked more frequently to ensure my it hasn’t changed further and my brain is getting what it needs to be able to recognize sounds and words. Hearing loss can impact your speech comprehension!
