Let’s get ready to BAAAWWWWWLLLL 😅😭

It doesn’t matter how many times we read this series, we will cry, scream, laugh, hoot, holler, and feel every emotion in between while reading Kingdom of Ash.

We all have that one (or two or six) favorite author; the one who never disappoints and who you know is gonna have you kicking your feet. So we want to hear from you all: who is your favorite author (or authors)?

Ashley: Jennifer L. Armentrout (because she’s so generous)

Sarah: Christopher Moore (because he just gets my sense of humor)

Stacia Stark does epic fantasy a great service with this story! Her character and world building is so thorough that there isn’t a single character you won’t love, even the antagonists!

Set in a world where magic is given as an offering to the gods for protection, Prisca must fight for her life and the lives of others while unraveling the spool of lies crafted by a greedy king. The Kingdom of Lies series has enemies to lovers, long lost family, and adventure. Perfect for readers who enjoy character and world building.

Swear to you all, this is the first series that I’ve read that even came close to giving me Throne of Glass feels. -Ashley

This is a completed series! So worth a read!🫶

Hello fellow bookstagrammers!

In our new segment, we will spotlight one of our favorite authors, and go through their published work and why we love it so much in hopes that we can get more book lovers to give their work a try!

We know you guys have seen this book all over social media. In our little corner of instagram, we have much love for Stacia Stark. Stacia’s work and give a little glimpse into what makes her one of our favorites in hopes that you will pick up her stories and enjoy them as much as we have.

Stacia’s We Who Will Die, though it gives the standard Romantasy slow burn feel, this story is much different than the stories out there right now. We feel like the common description that this story is Gladiators meet Vampire Diaries is accurate but the story is much more. The great thing about Stacia’s writing is that her world and character building quickly and thoroughly immerses you to the point that her books, reigning true for this book, are so hard to put down. If you hate giant age gaps between the main characters, it will make you happy that this book doesn’t follow that mold. Another thing that we really loved about this book is that there were a lot of politically grey area and the oppressive “bad guys” weren’t a whole class of vile creatures and that there were characters within the oppressive class that were kind and fought against the political damnation.

Another thing that we really enjoyed about this book is the FMC was very relatable with a heartbreaking story. Her character reminded us a little of Saeris from Quicksilver but a bit more mature. This book is fast paced and fun if you love reading action packed battles!

Also, be prepared for a cliff hanger that rivals all cliffhangers and will leave you needing more NOW!

What’s a book you’d recommend strictly because it emotionally destroyed you?
