Isn't it hilarious how our stress and worries sometimes manifest in our dreams.

I have a couple who decided they are going to have their venue handle the audio for their ceremony since it is offered as part of their rental.

Last night, I dreamt that the venue completely messed up the ceremony. They are a multi room venue and had a TV show coming over the sound system in the ceremony room rather than the music for the processional. (Funny enough, the TV show that was playing is what my wife left on the TV when she fell asleep so my mind blended reality into my dream. I'll tell you, the ancient aliens guys voice is not the voice you want to hear for your wedding haha)

For some reason in my dream, they also had the bride and officiant wearing these big trucker style headset mics and couldn't get them to work right. After running around to the guys running the sound system and trying to get them to figure out what they were doing (which they didn't) I of course immediately jumped into action at the back of the room, grabbed my ceremony setup and had it up in less than 5 minutes (thankfully I've built my ceremony setup to be able to be setup anywhere in a very short amount of time) and then, during their unity ceremony, i snuck up and swapped out the officiants mic and told the bride to take hers off (my officiant mic works to pick up the bride and groom as well so no need for lapel mics).

Thankfully, the rest of the ceremony went amazingly.

Now, I'm not saying this would actually happen but keep in mind as you are planning, your venue's sound system may not be designed for a ceremony, it may be used for multiple purposes and the people running it may not be fully trained or even really care about making sure your ceremony is perfect.

Hey everyone!

Many of you have probably noticed I haven't posted any of my tips and tricks in the past week or so.

I want to apologize and let you know I'll be putting them up again soon. My gma passed late last week so I have been spending most of my time getting things taken care of for that as well as prepping for my last few weddings of the year.

Thank you all for understanding and your support!

Happy planning ❤️

Day 41 & 42 of 120 wedding tips and tricks.

41. If you are having alcohol, consider having a signature cocktail. It's a fun way to add a personal touch to your reception and can be a great conversation starter. You can even have a his and hers, name them after your pets or anything you can think of to make it uniquely you.

42. Consider a photo booth. Photo booths are always a hit with guests and give them a fun souvenir to take home. If the photo booth can print right at the event even better. Having a photo strip to look back on is a great way to re-live the day, plus you as the couple can likely get all the photos of your guests as well!

Day 39 & 40 of 120 wedding tips and tricks.

39. Have a seating plan for dinner. Even if you don't have a formal seating chart, a plan for how guests will find their seats for dinner is a good idea. Having some sort of number system or table name designation will also help your DJ to release tables in an orderly fashion.

40. Plan for speeches. Ask people who will be giving speeches to prepare them in advance. If you are worried about someone talking to long, give them a time limit. This ensures they are thoughtful and not too long. Also, determine if you want to have an open mic for anyone to come give a toast or just specified people. This is going to be a personal preference and should be decided and discussed with your DJ in advance so they can be ready to cut people off or move on from toasts if needed.

Day 37 & 38 of 120 wedding tips and tricks.

37. At a minimum, create a "must-play" and a "do not play" list of songs for your DJ. This will help them understand your music taste and ensure your dance floor is a blast. Your DJ should be asking you about genres or types of music you want for guest arrival, cocktail hour, dinner and open dancing. Don't be afraid to send them your apple or Spotify playlists as well. A good DJ is going to want to know as much as possible about your music tastes so they can make sure the song played fit you and your partner to a T

38. Make sure to schedule in a few breaks throughout the night for you and your partner to eat, take a breather, and just enjoy each other's company.
The day is going to go fast and be overwhelming. Taking a few minutes here and there to slow down and just enjoy the moment with each other will help create memories you guys will cherish.

Day 36 of 120 wedding tips and tricks.

Give a thank-you speech. Take a moment to thank your guests and vendors for being there and for making your day so special. This is the perfect time to give credit to anyone who helped with anything special, thanks those who traveled long distances and make any other shout outs you'd like.

Day 35 of 120 wedding tips and tricks.

Have a detailed timeline. Your coordinator and DJ should have a detailed timeline of events, including when the first dance, toasts, and cake cutting will happen. Your photographer will likely have their own timeline that is similar to the DJ and coordinator but has some different details for their needs.

Remember, a timeline is just a guide. It's there to help keep things organized and flowing well but can always be adjusted as needed. If you want to take 10 extra minutes of private time or go do sunset photos a little early due to the perfect lighting, don't feel like you can't because it's against the timeline.

(Fun fact, Infinity Entertainment works with you and all of your vendors to create a full timeline for you big day This saves your the worry and time of trying to figure everything out yourself! Example of the first page of what we build for you below)
