So there's this little town about 15 miles from my house, and this little bar makes awesome burgers. Of course, on an 80-degree day in October, we ride 126 miles to get there!

On the road again...

I love finding new (to me) roads, and having ridden a s**t ton of roads in Eastern and Central Oregon, I discovered this one and decided to take an impromptu road trip. Don't know how I have missed this one all these years, but it was worth the wait! County Road 20 runs between Oregon Highway 7 near Austin and US-395 north of Long Creek, twisting and turning along the John Day River for most of the way. Funny how a 40-mile road will turn into a two-day road trip!

Sometimes the ride plan just doesn't work out. One of the roads I was going to take was not only unpaved, but I've
seen abandoned logging roads in better shape. Then my secondary route was clogged with two major accidents and traffic backups...in 85 degree heat. Don't get me wrong, I love 85 degree days!
But only when I'm moving. Add to that, my pain level was worse than normal today. So, there comes a time when you just
say "f**k it"; and blast home on the interstate. But, I got some cool pics of the Stonehenge monument near Goldendale, WA as well as a few others. The Stonehenge is a full-scale replica of the original in England.
