We love having the opportunity to live next to a local farm and getting the chance to spend time with the animals. Today, we brought them a sweet watermelon treat to enjoy on this beautiful summer day! 🍉☀️🐄

A close call for this little guy! While bush hogging and mowing our property, we spotted this turtle just in time. We moved him to safety, and he’s now continuing his day undisturbed. 🐢❤️

The world may say grandparents don’t matter anymore, but who would want their children to miss out on this kind of love, patience, and connection? 💛 Grandparents are one of life’s greatest blessings, and moments like these are the ones we’ll remember forever.

The new splash pad at Clearbrook Park in Wi******er briefly opened but is currently closed as of June 1, 2026. From what we’ve been told, one maintenance worker was hopeful the issue could be resolved within a few days, while another said there is currently no timeline for reopening.

It’s definitely a bummer for families across the area, especially since Wi******er’s downtown splash pad is also closed for the entire 2026 season due to a major equipment failure. Hopefully the Clearbrook splash pad is back up and running soon so local families have a place to cool off this summer. 💦☀️

Here are some things you can do to help your child love reading.

The first one is to turn off screens. Screens can become very distracting and encourage instant gratification, which can take away from a child’s ability to focus on books.

Another helpful thing is reading out loud with your child. When they see that you enjoy a book, they’re more likely to enjoy it too.

Also, make sure you’re finding books that are interesting to them. Let’s not force them to read Shakespeare when they want to read about dinosaurs.

My 62-year-old neighbor saw my husband struggling to mow the lawn yesterday. Today, he showed up with his own equipment and is out there teaching him how to use everything. 🥹❤️

In a world that can feel rushed, this was such a sweet reminder that kindness, community, and good neighbors still exist.

I really thought potty training would go like this:

“Okay, sit on the potty and go p*e!”

Child immediately p*es
👏🎉✨

Instead, it looks more like bringing every toy into the bathroom, reading multiple books, singing songs, making silly faces, and trying every trick imaginable… all while waiting for a single drop of p*e. 😂

If you’ve potty trained a child, you know the reality is usually a lot different than the expectation. Tell me—what was the funniest thing you did to convince your child to sit on the potty?

To, Too, and Two can be tricky for little learners! ❤️

A simple way to remember them:

➡️ To = going somewhere or doing something
➡️ Too = also or extra (it has an extra “o” because it means extra!)
➡️ Two = the number 2

Sometimes a quick visual or memory trick makes all the difference. Learning doesn’t have to be complicated—small, simple strategies help children build confidence and remember what they’re learning!

What spelling rule or sight word does your child struggle with most? 👇📚✨

Instead of saying, “Go clean your room,” we break it down into smaller tasks. You pick one task at a time, which makes it feel much less overwhelming because you know exactly what your job is. The instructions are clear and specific. This works especially well for younger children because they often need that extra guidance to know where to start and what to focus on. ❤️
