Come one, come all to the 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 ***rbodiesinmotion Virtual Event. A collaborative dance project aimed at building awareness of LGBTQ discrimination and q***r identity. 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 is a reimagining of 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙒𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 told through dance, music and LGBTQ pride. threw a bash last night at . Virtual Con timely jumped into the virtual entertainment scene just before the deadly Vid hit. This company offers real time online “intertainment” including events (ala last night), concerts, celebrity panels and more. MCed the 90s throwback themed get down, while and warmed the crowd up with iconic pre-millennium tunes. opened the show for which shook the Skyline. Virtual Con hosts events like this monthly throughout New England, New York and New Jersey. Stay on top this group for music centric fun.

, Jeff Gates and BSD dined at . Once the Gaslight, Jeff Gates formerly of the Aquitaine Group created the SoWa Dining Group transforming the space into a more casual French brasserie...cozy hoodish feel, simplified menu and more reasonable prices. The grizz is good! We recommend the lamb collar and the bouillabaisse 😋. In the background is the SoWa Group’s new 25k sq ft event space This is gonna be where Boston gets down! Already lush with events as the reopening unfolds.

We welcome BSD team member, staff writer and digital editor . At her day job she is a financial analyst at MIT’s World Education Lab but often prefers fashion modeling in her free time. She graduated Summa Cum Lauderdale from Tufts University and studied abroad at the University of Oxford where she served as Guest Liason Officer at the Oxford Union (entertaining guests like David Hasselhoff) and rowed for her college (poorly). After working on Wall Street and hedge funds, Mely finds that she’s happiest hosting social events, being around good company, and exploring her creative side through music and the arts. Keep an eye out for her in an up coming George Clooney film.

Tonight Boston Social Diary zoomed into Mass General Hospital for Children’s virtual reception for Story Book Ball 2021. Please scroll through the images from 2020’s Virtual Storybook Gala. The event will be IN PERSON 🙌🙌 marking the start of Boston’s fall social season on Oct. 16th. This year’s co- chairs are Fiona Benenson and Rachel Motley, plus honorary co-chair Martha Kleinman. The focus of this year’s gala...(yes we can still remember how to spell it) is pediatric infectious disease. 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙙, the sweet bull who delights in life’s little pleasures has been anointed with the event’s beloved storybook theme.

Please scroll through the images from . Our last installment on 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝘼𝙡𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙯𝙘𝙤. December Thieves owner Lana Barakat (aka Chief Thief) sired a ladies layered ensemble. However, the Chief Thief recently purveyed a line of gender-neutral fashion, so if you fancy this look swing over to this Charles St. store to find pieces you and your SO (significant other) might share or fight over. This Boston owned (Thank God not another chain retailer) evokes the edgy, mysterious and unpredictable. Every shred of rich, supple and European wrought clothing is a statement piece, particularly the leather jacket. “The” jacket first shown over a simple floor length black gown, is disruptive black tie at its finest. The mix of the tulle skirt against the raw black leather coat whispers sweet and naughty.
Model and December Thief Julia Topper’s first layer of a long sleeved thin t-shirt and pants works well for early evening, but she is protected with other items to pile on as the evening chills. All pieces are wardrobe building basics! And with the exception of the jacket span four seasons. Final word on the “Thieves”, the interior stinks in irascible chic, adorned with a menagerie of dried moss mixed with glass and beach wood...a mind-bending combination with covetable fashion.

Cutler’s inventory shimmers with detail, from the pistachio boot crystals to the metallic and black whip stitching on the brocade long coat. All pieces easily span 9 months of wear, particularly the brocade jacket in image 5. Pop in for an eye full of chroma to brighten your day.
