The August issue of N Magazine hit the stands this morning. A whopping 202 pages, the August issue features long-form interviews with a wide range of people who make Nantucket the special place it is, as well as deep dives into issues ranging from the proliferation of the lone star tick, to a new stage company, the first all-female crew at Figawi and a new type of mooring designed to protect the harbor's fragile network of eelgrass.
This month, we sit down with longtime island photographer Beverly Hall on "becoming Hanna Monaghan," one of the eccentric sisters behind Greater Light. We talk to the Carlyle Group's David Rubenstein for his market insights, as well as Renaissance man Dr. Bob Arnot, and the mother-daughter news team of Lois Romano and Kristen Holmes, whose work at The Washington Post and CNN, respectively, make them part of a growing collection of national journalists who call Nantucket home. We also explore the so-called Hidden Hollywood on Nantucket, find a Taste of Jamaica at a new food truck at the Chicken Box, and speak with members of the Royal Nantucket Yacht Squadron, the only yacht club in town where a 12-pack of beer will grant you admission.
