This is the stuff the barber books don’t tell you. 💈📚

When you’ve got a low cowlick in the nape and you’re trying to taper around multiple growth patterns, your blade choice MATTERS.

This is where I prefer a taper blade. It’s more forgiving and gives you more control when the hair is growing in every direction. Instead of fighting the growth pattern, learn how to work WITH it.

These little details are what separate knowing the steps of a haircut from actually understanding hair.

Save this one—you’re going to run into this client eventually. 🎯

The NEW Gamma+ Boosted One Shaver might be a single foil… but it’s bringing double-foil power. 💪🔥

With up to 2 hours of runtime and a 9,000 RPM motor, this thing is built for more than just finishing a haircut.

In this video I show you two ways I’d actually use it behind the chair:

💈 Maintain a clean lineup without worrying about accidentally taking off longer hairs — the foil targets that short stubble.

💈 Attack that stubborn final skin line at the bottom of a bald fade. If you’ve ever struggled getting that last line completely clean, a powerful single-foil shaver can be a serious weapon.

Huge credit to Gamma+ for creating the Boosted One and continuing to push barber tools forward.

Would you choose a powerful single foil over a traditional double foil?

🔊 TURN THE SOUND UP… Can you hear the difference?

Today we’re doing a CRUNCH TEST on the Wahl Senior 2.0.

First, we listen to the stock blade straight out of the box. Then I swap it over to the S|C Professional Tools Echo blade and let the sound speak for itself. 👀🔥

I’ll also show you exactly how to do the blade modification yourself.

Sometimes a blade swap can completely change the personality of a clipper.

Which one sounds better to you — STOCK or ECHO?

I fully expected this dude to sit down and tell me to shave his head… 😂

Instead, he threw me a complete curveball:

“Can you put a design in it?”

Alright… how the hell am I gonna do that? 😂

So I stared at it for a minute, came up with a plan, and decided to basically build the haircut in reverse. I worked the fade from the top down, added a little color to give me something to work with, then carved the design into the sides.

And somehow… THIS is what we came up with. 😂🔥

Definitely one of the more interesting problems I’ve had to solve behind the chair.

Building this edge-up completely from scratch. 💈🔥

No existing line to follow — just creating the shape, establishing the corners, and bringing everything together with the 360 Jeezy Trimmer.

Big shoutout to S|C Professional Tools StyleCraft for continuing to put great tools in our hands, @gmail.com for keeping barbers loaded with a huge selection of professional tools, and 美咲 MISAKI ® for the shears. 🙌

A clean edge-up isn’t just about making a line crispy — it’s about knowing where that line belongs.

Before the first client walks in, the barbershop has a rhythm of its own. 💈🎬

The lights come on. The coffee starts brewing. The tools hit the station. The chairs are waiting.

No talking. No tutorial. Just the sights and sounds of a barbershop slowly coming to life.

There’s something beautiful about opening the doors before most people are even awake… and knowing those empty chairs won’t stay empty for long.

There’s something beautiful about a barbershop before the first client ever sits down.

The lights come on. The chairs are empty. The tools are waiting. Then, little by little, the shop comes alive.

For generations, the barbershop has been more than a place to get a haircut. It’s where conversations happen, relationships are built, stories are told, and people walk out feeling a little better than when they walked in.

I’ve spent over two decades in this industry, and I still think there’s something special about watching a barbershop come to life.

This is barbering. 💈

Much love to Barberunited195 for continuing to support the industry and S|C Professional Tools for the beautiful capes that helped bring the look together.

It’s been YEARS since I’ve unboxed a corded tool… but this one hits different. 💈

The Andis T-Outliner was one of the first real professional trimmers I ever owned—and if you’ve been barbering long enough, you probably remember when we used to take a HACKSAW to these things and cut the top off ourselves. 😂

We were making “skeleton” trimmers before skeleton trimmers were a thing.

Fast-forward to 2026 and exposed blades are basically an industry standard. Now Andis has gone back to its roots with the all-new corded T-Outliner, so I had to break it down and see what they changed…and what they didn’t.

There’s something pretty cool about seeing one of the tools that helped shape modern barbering come back around.

But here’s the real question: Would YOU put a corded trimmer back on your station in 2026? 👇

Welcome to barbering in 2026. 💈

There was a time when you could come to the shop, cut hair, put your clippers down and go home.

Those days are gone.

Today you’re expected to be a barber, content creator, editor, marketer, businessman, therapist—and somehow master every haircut that walks through the door.

And yes, barber school probably didn’t teach you half of it.

But here’s the truth: your education doesn’t end when you get your license. That’s when it actually begins.

Your first year behind the chair will teach you things no classroom ever could.

Nobody promised this career would be easy.

But if you’re willing to adapt, learn and put the work in, there has never been a better time to build something bigger than just a chair.

Welcome to barbering in 2026. 💈

He Came Back After I Pushed Him Back 😂

The Saga continues… 😂💈

Last time you saw Conner, I may or may not have pushed his lineup back into another ZIP code. 😭

The question ever since has been… did he have the patience to leave it alone and let it grow back? Or did the damage finally break him enough to shave the whole thing off and start over?

Well… Conner is back. And today we finally get our answer. 😂

At this point, I think we’re all emotionally invested in this man’s hairline.
