After nearly 45 days beneath the sand, a baby sea turtle finally broke free to explore the world. We may never know if it will survive the challenges of the ocean, but one thing was certain—it carried pure joy in its first moments of life. Together with more than twenty siblings, its very first instinct was to rush toward the waves, drawn by the call of the sea.
But for a single heartbeat, this little one—whom I named Solitario George—paused, gifting me a moment to capture its spirit forever through my art. This fleeting encounter remains one of my most treasured memories, a fragile miracle etched in time, reminding us of the beauty and struggle of life’s first steps toward freedom.

Dawn, searching for the perfect moment when there is an alignment of the solar eclipse, was a challenge. It began with a cloudy night; however, my faith that the wind would move the clouds and reveal the moon was all I asked for, so I would not lose the sunrise on the beaches of Naples. And as the universe aligned with me, it gave me this perfect moment—with just a few clouds and the moon reflecting the Earth. It was magnificent. That deep connection between us and the moon made me feel grateful for such an epic moment. And as always, I seek to create art. I love this place because every time I visit, I discover a new perspective for creating art. On this occasion, after a very cloudy day, I decided to work in black and white while leaving the water with a subtle blue tint. This contrast not only adds depth but also gives the piece a unique artistic touch. I’m certain that a work like this can beautifully complement any space—whether at home or in an office.
