The photo vs. what it took to get it…

Sometimes you see a beautiful photo, but you don't see everything that happened behind it.

For this shoot in Mexico, I woke up at 4:30 AM so we could catch that beautiful first light of the day. I was tired, but once we got to the beach and started shooting, I knew it was going to be worth it.

And it was.

One of the photos from that morning became one of my favorite images from my entire modeling journey.

Travel and modeling have taught me that sometimes you have to make the extra effort to create the moments you'll remember forever. You can sleep later—but you may never get that exact sunrise, that exact location, or that exact opportunity again.

🇲🇽✨ Wisdom Through Travel with Brigitte Saunders — Episode 3: USA to Tulum Mexico

There is so much more behind a beautiful modeling photo than what you see on the screen.

This trip took me from exploring the beaches of Cancún and finding a beautiful Mexican fire opal, to Tulum, where I attended a modeling event that gave me some unforgettable experiences—and a few lessons along the way. ❤️

I walked more than 15 minutes across a huge resort in heels 👠 (lesson learned: always bring flip-flops! 😂), enjoyed incredible Mexican food while trying to stay disciplined for my shoots, and woke up at 4:30 in the morning to catch the first light of the day.

That early-morning shoot ended up giving me one of my favorite photographs from my entire modeling career.

And that's something traveling has taught me: when you're somewhere you may never experience in exactly the same way again, make the effort. Wake up early. Explore. Take the opportunity. The inconvenience lasts for a moment, but the memory can stay with you forever. 🌅✨

I'm also very proud that the work from this event resulted in four magazine publications, including one in a Mexican magazine. 🇲🇽📸

But Wisdom Through Travel isn't only about showing you where modeling has taken me. I want to share the stories behind those pictures—the funny moments, the challenges, the things I discover, and the lessons that have shaped me along the way.

I hope that through these episodes, you get to know a little more of who I am beyond the photographs. ❤️

Every journey leaves you with something to remember. ✨
Looking back at these moments from the Miss Spain Fashion Week Dallas Finals reminds me that every experience is about so much more than the event itself.
It's about the friendships, the lessons, the memories, and the opportunities to keep growing.
Dallas has given me so many special moments over the years, and I'm grateful for every one of them. ❤️

Wisdom Through Travel with Brigitte Saunders | Episode 2
The night before the competition, I never imagined I'd be dancing alongside a professional belly dancer in a Turkish restaurant in Dallas.
The next day, I stood on an international stage representing Spain, and after the competition, I celebrated with new friends while exploring Deep Ellum.
This journey reminded me that travel isn't only about the places we visit—it's about the people we meet, the cultures we experience, and the confidence we discover along the way.
And yes... you'll finally find out how I placed at the Miss Fashion Week Dallas Finals. 🏆✨
