👑Spider-Man: Brand New Day is about to take the crown.

The Tom Holland-led sequel is on track to surpass Spider-Man: No Way Home this weekend, making it the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie of all time.

No Way Home currently sits at approximately $1.92 billion worldwide, while Brand New Day has already passed $1.7 billion and remains in theaters.

That means Tom Holland's Spider-Man is about to hold the top three spots in the franchise's worldwide box office rankings, with Far From Home also ahead of every other Spider-Man film.

Did you expect Brand New Day to become the biggest Spider-Man movie ever? 👇

🐅Kelly Hu is returning to the Marvel universe, this time behind the microphone.

Hu will voice Tyger Tiger in Insomniac Games’ upcoming Wolverine, marking a fun callback to her Marvel history. She previously played Lady Deathstrike in 2003’s X2: X-Men United.

In the comics and games, Tyger Tiger is a prominent figure in Madripoor and operates the Princess Bar, one of Wolverine’s most recognizable haunts.

So Hu is trading one Wolverine connection for another.

What do you think of Kelly Hu returning to Marvel for Wolverine? 👇

🧟‍♂️Matthew McConaughey has revealed that he was approached to play Joel Miller in HBO’s The Last of Us but ultimately turned down the role.

“I thought it was really good, but it wasn’t for me at the time,” McConaughey said.

The role ultimately went to Pedro Pascal, who starred alongside Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie.

Considering how beloved Pascal’s performance became, it’s fascinating to imagine what McConaughey might have brought to Joel.

Do you think McConaughey would have made a good Joel? 👇

🕊💔Damn....Christy Knowings, best known for her work on Nickelodeon’s All That, has sadly passed away at the age of 46.

Knowings joined All That in 1997 and appeared on the sketch comedy series until 2000, becoming a familiar face to a generation of Nickelodeon viewers. She was known for characters including Jessica from “Whateverrr!” and Gloria Bankhead, her hilarious Martha Stewart parody.

She later continued working in television, including appearing on Sesame Street alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings.

According to reports, Knowings suffered an asthma attack that resulted in brain damage. Her family ultimately made the heartbreaking decision to remove her from life support on August 11.

Her work on All That helped make the show such a defining part of '90s Nickelodeon, and she leaves behind a body of work that many fans grew up watching.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones. 🕊️

Rest in peace, Christy Knowings. ❤️

Doug Wagner and Daniel Hillyard are back together, and this time they’ve brought Murder Chickens.

Today, Clover Press launches its new creator-owned publishing imprint, The Fourth Leaf, with the Kickstarter campaign for I LOVE APOCALYPTIC ZOMBIE MISFITS! The new graphic novel from the team behind Plastic, Plush, Vinyl, I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer, and Narco throws supernatural slashers, psychics, cultists, zombies, and homicidal chickens into one gloriously insane story.

A nerdy pacifist is resurrected in a vat of holy motor oil, trapped inside the body of a supernatural slasher, and forced to protect a psychic kid from the forces of Heaven and Hell.

So, you know... pretty much a normal Doug Wagner and Daniel Hillyard comic.

The Kickstarter also features a deluxe hardcover, a Chris Bachalo dust jacket edition, a deluxe slipcase, exclusive art prints, and — naturally — the Murder Chickens Card Game.

You can back the Kickstarter campaign at the link in the comments.

“Introducing Itsari as an exposition-heavy guide stands out as the most direct method to deliver worldbuilding quickly, yet arriving in the fourth installment of a five-issue run makes the reveal feel somewhat unearned. Holding back critical context only to dump it all at once creates an experience similar to a museum tour, rushing from one artifact to the next without giving readers time to digest the information.”

👀A new behind-the-scenes video for Supergirl has sparked backlash after appearing to reveal that AI was used during the conceptualization of Lobo's design.

The footage shows AI-generated imagery being used as part of the early visual development process for Jason Momoa's Lobo, and fans aren't exactly thrilled about it.

The reaction is especially notable because concept art has traditionally been such an important part of developing comic book characters for film, with artists spending weeks or months exploring different looks before a final design is chosen.

Using AI during that process has raised questions about the role of human artists in major Hollywood productions and whether studios should be relying on generative AI at all.

What do you think? Is using AI for early concept development acceptable, or should studios leave this work to human artists? 👇
