Saturday July 23rd marked a momentous conclusion to the fundraising efforts of Northwest Ohio baseball and its associates as they were able to present a check of $30,000 to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.

Started by Dave Rohrbaugh over two and a half years ago, The Northwest Ohio MLB Memorabilia Veterans Raffle was meant to help Ohio veterans in need of nursing home housing. This dedication to helping those who served our country paired with an intense love for the sport of baseball was the inspiration for this project. With participation from major leagues from across Northwest Ohio, the raffle offered 19 baseballs signed by the pros among other prizes. Though Dave passed away on September 23, 2020, His dream lived on through the help of his friends and family.

A special thanks to Dave Rohrbaugh and family, Northwest Ohio Baseball, The American Legion, VFW, all donating parties including those who purchased raffle tickets, Denny Meyer, Greg Inselmann, Larry Adams, - and to everyone else who made this fundraiser possible. Most of all, a BIG THANK YOU to those who served this country!

Get your Northwest Ohio High School Baseball Fundraiser tickets to help local veterans today! First prize is a collection of 19 autographed baseballs - one from each Northwest Ohio player who has made it to the Majors. (among many other great prizes). Proceeds will go to The Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio.

Contact your local Northwest Ohio high school baseball team or American legion for tickets. There are 35 participating teams throughout Henry, Defiance, Putnam, Williams, Fulton, and Paulding counties that will be selling tickets.

Tickets are only $5, and the drawing will take place on the 4th of July at The American Legion in Napoleon. Tickets will also be sold at various upcoming high school baseball games in the Northwest Ohio area.

*BONUS PRIZE* A baseball signed by 18 of the 19 NWO Major Leaguers.
