Welcome to the official page of D. William Graves, where horror meets the unknown. I write cosmic horror, psychological terror, and unsettling stories that creep under your skin and stay with you long

after the final page. My latest project, Seams of the Infinite, blends baseball and eldritch horror, unraveling reality one pitch at a time. Inspired by real history, folklore, and existential dread, my stories explore the fragile seams of our world—and what lurks beyond them. Previously, I ran Slasher Sports Cinema, dissecting horror films with the same depth I bring to my writing. Now, this page is dedicated to my books, horror insights, and dark storytelling. šŸŽ¬ On This Day in Horror History: Diary of a Madman (1963) Released!

Just watched this again, and Vincent Price proves once more why he’s the king of Gothic horror. A body-hopping evil spirit manipulates its victims into murder, and Price’s descent into madness is phenomenal.

šŸŒ€ Why You Should Watch It:
šŸ”„ A psychological horror twist on possession.
šŸ‘ļø An evil spirit that jumps from body to body.
šŸ“– Based on Guy de Maupassant’s eerie short story The Horla.
šŸŒ• Pure slow-burn horror with an unsettling, gothic feel.

It’s creepy, it’s underrated, and it’s perfect if you love horror that plays with paranoia and unseen terror.

šŸ“ŗ Watch it if you enjoy: The Haunting, Fallen, Repulsion, The Innocents.

Writers talk about process all the time, but let’s be real—the writing environment is just as important.

Some people need a minimalist desk, candle burning, lo-fi beats—pure focus. Others? Energy drinks, horror movie posters, a half-eaten snack, and a workspace that looks like a crime scene.

So what’s your setup? Cozy, chaotic, or a mix of both? I'm trying to see something....

In 1970, Dock Ellis stepped onto the mound high on L*D—and threw a no-hitter. A wild baseball legend. But what if that game wasn’t just baseball?
What if, pitch by pitch, he was unraveling reality itself?
šŸ‘ļø Seams of the Infinite is my upcoming cosmic horror novella.
Follow for horror, mystery, and stories that blur the line between real and unreal.

"The baseball pulsed in his grip, the seams shifting like something alive. Outside the window, the world twisted—stretching, bending, folding inward like a collapsing star. Figures stood beyond the glass, too still, too long-limbed, their edges blurred like ink dissolving in water. They were waiting. Watching. The telephone rang. The sound didn’t belong in this reality—it scraped through the air like something clawing its way through the void. Dock reached for it, but the receiver pulsed beneath his fingers, breathing. Then came the words that made his stomach lurch—words that fractured time itself.

ā€œDock, what happened to yesterday?ā€

šŸ“– SEAMS OF THE INFINITE – A cosmic horror novella inspired by a true story.

On June 12, 1970, Dock Ellis threw a no-hitter while high on L*D. But what if that wasn’t just a hallucination? What if he saw the truth—that baseball isn’t just a game, but a ritual? That the seams of the ball don’t just hold leather together, but reality itself?

⚾ One night. One game. Nine innings with something beyond human comprehension.
šŸ‘ļø The umpire is not what he seems.
⚔ The crowd is shifting.
šŸŒ€ The final pitch will decide more than the game.

šŸ“£ Big changes are happening! This page is evolving from Slasher Sports Cinema into the official D. William Graves writer page!

For years, I’ve explored the dark, twisted, and unsettling in horror films—but now, I’m bringing that same passion to my own horror fiction. My latest work, Seams of the Infinite, blends cosmic horror with baseball, unraveling reality one pitch at a time.

What to Expect Here:
šŸ“– Exclusive book updates & sneak peeks
šŸ‘ļø Deep dives into horror fiction & cosmic dread
⚾ The dark side of baseball history & storytelling
šŸ–‹ļø Writing process insights & behind-the-scenes content

I’m still obsessed with horror films, and that influence will creep into every word I write. If you love Lovecraftian nightmares, psychological terror, and stories that stay with you long after the lights go out—stick around.

The void is watching. Are you? šŸ‘ļø

🚨 Stranded. Hunted. Devoured. 🚨

You ever think your worst family vacation was bad? Try being trapped in a busted-ass safari jeep while a pack of starving lions decides YOU’RE the main course. šŸ¦šŸ½ļø

That’s Prey (2007)—a gnarly, blood-soaked survival thriller inspired by the real-life man-eating lions of Tsavo (yeah, the same nightmare fuel from The Ghost and the Darkness). Starring Bridget Moynahan, Peter Weller, and Carly Schroeder, this flick throws an American family into the deep end of the food chain in the middle of an African game reserve.

Stepmom Amy (Moynahan) just wants to bond with her husband’s kids. Instead, she gets a front-row seat to National Geographic: The Hardcore Edition when their guide gets turned into lion chow, leaving her, a rebellious teen, and a scared little kid stuck in a death trap on wheels. Meanwhile, Daddy dearest (Weller) is off at a dam, oblivious to the real damn problem—his family is about to be nature’s snack pack.

If you love survival horror, animal attack carnage, and watching humans get humbled by the wild in the most brutal way possible, this one’s got your name all over it. No heroes. No mercy. Just primal, flesh-ripping terror.

šŸ”Ŗ Watch it. Feel it. And pray you’re never on the menu.

Google is telling me DOG SOLDIERS has a birthday today.

If you have a few minutes, check out this podcast I did with my good friends, James Brown, Rick Sims, and Final Girl Casey. We had a lot of fun doing this show, and DOG SOLDIERS was one of the best I remember.

It was a typical Neil Marshall Creature Feature Action Horror, but man, was it fun

A routine military exercise turns into a nightmare in the Scotland wilderness. We watched Dog Soldiers! This werewolf picture celebrates a birthday on May 1...
