The world will be less sparkly from now on.
Dolly Parton was never just rhinestones, big hair, and that unmistakable voice. She was warmth. Wit. Grace. Generosity. Faith. She could make you laugh one minute and break your heart with a song the next. She never apologized for being exactly who she was. She made being a little extra look downright elegant, and somehow, beneath all that sparkle, she always felt like home. There are some people whose light becomes so familiar, you forget to imagine a world without it. Today, Tennessee feels a little quieter. Country music feels a little emptier. And the whole world feels a little less sparkly. Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, the stories, the kindness, and for reminding generations of women that you can be strong, glamorous and grounded, funny and wise, all at the same time. There will never be another Dolly and Lord knows, we were lucky to have her. 🤍✨
