1936 – 2024

He lived his life in a way that honored and exemplified the values of each of those men, and he leaves a righteous, courageous, and resounding legacy that rings with theirs.”

I am almost afraid to look at the news today--Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee are so important to me--not only am I from two of those states -I have family in the other--many folks from Florida have homes in North Carolina and E Tennessee--many special trips on I-40 west and all of the small towns and special magical Appalachian people I have met--on my move to TN I visited all those small towns and spent time with the locals in many of them-I will always be grateful for those memories--September 26th is the day the music and art died in Asheville and surrounding area many of my artist friends not only lost their lives many have lost a lifetime worth of irreplaceable art etc--The Omni Grove Park Inn is even closed--hard to imagine at the elevation that this kind of flooding can happen in the blink of an eye--I get teased a lot about my respect for Mother Nature that was instilled in me by my family of seamen and I will continue to preach--stay prepared--secure your home --move your valuables out of the path and leave the area--so many lives lost--I am gutted--and to the Army Corps of Engineers--please publish a warning for those folks likely to be in the path of these types of disasters--many people do not realize that there is a damn that could burst or in the path of a flood or mudslide zone--Sign Of The Times --Prayers
