Hello friends! I’m thrilled to share a few new and meaningful updates with you.

In addition to our regular episodes, we’re launching a special quarterly series called Restless Rising, a creative look at the lives of women in the Bible.This isn’t a Bible study. Think of it as an imaginative conversation, almost like a stage performance, where the host sits down with these remarkable women and explores their stories in fresh ways. No theology to debate—just stories to inspire.

We’ve heard from some amazing women under 50 who feel the pull of restlessness too. So now and then, we’ll welcome younger guests into the conversation, expanding our stories and perspectives even more.

I just watched a story on KCCI news in Iowa about a woman who just celebrated her 108th birthday. The story was amazing, but there was one thing she said that I really loved. When asked if she might move out of her house, she said no because after living in it so long, she has things the way she wants them. Time to double-check. New guidelines have recently been adopted here in Ontario, and it’s good news! The new threshold for ferritin — the protein that stores iron — is now 30 mcg/L for adults.

I am taking down Christmas decorations and rearranging some household items. A couple of months ago The Spiritual Friends Network https://www.facebook.com/groups/79123885609 gifted me a dish towel. It was much too pretty to use for dishes so I decided to frame it. It did not fit a standard frame size and custom was much too expensive. Then I had an epiphany. I had my husband cut a couple pieces of wood frame and I velcroed the cloth to the wood on both ends. Voilà! It makes a perfect wall hanging that is also a perfect match for a family quilt on my guest room bed (click on the image to see the quilt). This look may not be for everyone, but the moral of the story is make adjustments and enjoy what you already have. Hugs and Happy New Year. Janice

I have not seen Jill Ridenour in months. We had fun today making Christmas pictures from wrapping paper and a pipe cleaner!
