Last but definitely not least, we have the amazing Rhys Dimitriev šŸ—£ļø

Originally from Florida, Rhys is the recording engineer for all the songs tracked at . She completely took charge of recording and made it so much easier for me to focus on other things happening during the studio sessions. Rhys made sure everyone was comfortable and effortlessly adapted to each artist’s recording style — which is no small feat considering how many people were involved! She treated the project with care and always made sure we were getting the best sound possible — whether that meant tweaking the vocal channel or re-recording a part that sounded off during playback. Overall, Rhys is incredible, and I truly admire her dedication to her craft ā™„ļø

There are two more people I’d like to introduce y’all to, and the first one is Joshua Knox! Josh is a bass player from Detroit, MI, who made his way to Nashville via TSU. He’s the bass you hear in the intro and outro of the project. He’s an amazing musician and, quite frankly, an essential part of translating what I’m trying to do to the rest of the band.

I respect Josh not only for his musical abilities, but also for his willingness to speak up when something isn’t right — and that’s all I can ask for when growing a company šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½

Also, special shoutout to .marxan ! He played bass on the project as well on Primal Pimp Swordsman šŸ—£ļø

Part TWO is finally out on YouTube ā€¼ļø

In the first half of the interview, we talked about Nashville’s history and where the city stands today in terms of Hip-Hop culture. Now, we dive into the artists — what local talent can do to push themselves, and how to make a name for yourself even when the odds are stacked against you. Mic True also shares his four picks for Nashville’s Hip-Hop Mount Rushmore!

Big shoutout to for all the support during the recording process—and even after! We had an amazing time at the release party in such a welcoming space ā™„ļø

Fun fact: About 60% of the vocals for the project were recorded at East Iris, while all the beats were made at the L.O.3 (our home studio) šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½

As y’all know, the project is out — and I want to highlight someone who’s been a crucial part of it: the mastermind behind the mixes, Justin ā€œScotty DeVilleā€ Scott!

Justin’s been my friend and brother for many years and we first met when I was in band at TSU. He’s taught me so much that’s helped elevate my craft as a musician and producer and I’ve applied some of those things to this project. So, shoutout to Justin for not only being the coolest, but also for being a true guide through this whole process šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½ā™„ļø

Last but not least, we have OKM šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½

He’s a West Nashville native who’s been rapping for most of his life. I first connected with OKM through Instagram after seeing his freestyle with The Ring—I knew I wanted to work with him. Once we got to talking, we realized we actually knew each other from childhood… Nashville might be bigger now, but it’s still a small town. šŸ˜…

OKM’s quote: ā€œMoney is paper—stay creative and productive.ā€

When I was 19, I started managing my first artist—ShaunVelli (he went by Shaun Macavelli when we first met). I met him during an internship with , and honestly, he changed my life in such a short amount of time. We spent nearly every day together for four months straight, and during that time, I didn’t just become a manager—I also started producing again.

Shaun is one of the biggest motivations behind this project. In fact, if he hadn’t entered my life, I probably wouldn’t still be producing. It’s heartbreaking that he’s no longer with us, but he was truly a blessing in my life—a light during a very unique time.

One of his quotes that’s always stuck with me, pulled from his Facebook:ā€Øā€œThere are people less qualified than you doing the things you want to do, simply because they decided to believe in themselves. Period.ā€

Special shoutout to Ke Ke for the support throughout these years since passing! Thank you for being willing to tell history story ā™„ļø

As we reach the final stretch of the project interviews, the spotlight turns to BANG ā€¼ļø

A Nashville native who’s lived in various parts of the city, BANG! is the OG of the group. He’s rapping the longest and is happy to share his experiences. He’s been a great person to bounce ideas off of, bringing a unique and valuable perspective to the table šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½

BANG!’s quote:ā€Øā€œIf you get it right the first time, you shouldn’t have to go back and redo it.ā€ šŸ’„

GrownKidd is an East Tennessee native who’s been rapping for a little over a decade. The beat she’s blessing is especially dear to my heart. I got the inspiration from a track by my first artist—he had a sample I really liked, but I could never figure out the original song. Then one day, I randomly heard it, and instantly started creating my own version of the beat that originally inspired me šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½

Not only did GrownKidd do her thing on the track, but she also brought in ShaunVelli. What she created was beautiful, and I can’t wait for y’all to hear it! ✨

GrownKidd’s quote for L.O.3. is:ā€Øā€œOnce you’ve ruined your reputation, you can live freely.ā€šŸŒ±

I’d like to introduce y’all to QUE — the Cashville representative 🫔

At the beginning of 2024, when I started reaching out to artists for the project, Que followed me on Instagram. And, of course, in true Trin fashion, I saw he did music and checked out his page. I was genuinely impressed by his lyricism and thought he’d be a great addition to the project. Before I could even reach out, he beat me to it. After a quick conversation, he was down to be a part of it.

In Nashville, it’s not common to step outside your circle or connect with people you don’t know — especially if you don’t know someone they know. I did both and ended up meeting a gifted lyricist with a love for Nashville as big as mine šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½

QUE’s quote for this project is from the great Muhammad Ali: ā€œI Am The Greatest, I said that even before I knew I wasā€
