cuz during september, i found not just one but TWO rawhide bones in the yard at our , and mom took both of them away. one of them even had some jerky on there. HOW RUDE!

i’m pretty smart though and pushed one of them off the ledge from upstairs so i could get it when i got back downstairs, but then mom was too quick and saw what i was doing and put it back up stairs, outside of the fence again 🙄

and with this last stop, Purvi Day 2025 has come to an end!

pictured here: i desperately wanted to re-create the cover photo of that pinned intro video on my page— we were in the exact same spot, almost exactly 2 years ago. the weather was perfect, the sun was sunnin’ — but patchy, my haircut, and the (lack of) wind said “ummm nuhthanks” 😆

so this is the best i got: some funny, some weird, and some great hair shots! 💙💜🩵💚

but more importantly, i got to visit a place that makes me really happy. i got to spend time with myself. i got to spend time with two of my closest friends. i got to drink some yummy wine and eat a bunch of mediocre food 🫢 i got to see some familiar faces and places and eat ice cream from a very unique spot as my last “meal” in the area 🤓

more on all of this later, but for now, i’ll leave you with this one last thought (cuz this old lady is tired of typing, and i don’t remember where i was headed with this anyway 😄):

don’t forget to celebrate yourself, even when no one‘s watching 🥳

so patchy, tell me how you feel about wine tastings 👀🤓

jk jk he gets hikes, sun time, and snackies for jump shots so we have a deal worked out where we both get rewarded.

AND he got to see this week and get her magical head swirlies which tbh might be laced with sedatives. idk but the man closes his eyes and melts into the bed/couch/ground when he gets dosed 🤷🏽‍♀️

this week of mom’s-paying-attention-to-me *ALL DAY!!!* may be coming to an end, but there’s so much more fun planned in the near future!! like being home in our own bed 🥹

this patchy-mama adventure’s not over yet though! brb… we’re off to get cold lunch 😏

in honor of libra szn, or to kick off fall or something, here are some of my favorite early autumn moments from the last two years, nearly all of which have been spent traveling whether that’s what we intended or not— and some fun facts to go with! 🍁

- we’ve traveled to or through 28 states and 4 Canadian provinces
- patchy’s seems to like hotels > airbnbs shout out to for keeping the man happy
- we met up with 19ish friends! (not including our NY crew) at least that’s what i can recall based on my quick math… still that’s a lot of you!

the biggest changes:
- we went from a tricky tummy to patch thriving on his current diet (over a year into it now)
- patchy’s left eye heart spot is graying at the top now
- we went from paying for a storage container to paying for a storage home

my favorite pictures to take are still patchy’s signature jump shots and him doing a middle and then looking up at me 🥹

the biggest consistency across all of that time? we are both okay being anywhere and doing almost anything as long as the other one is nearby ❤️

we’re about to round out the final leg of this extended portion of our road trip (for now at least), and what better place to do that than right back where we started!?

and just like that, he adventured his way through all the land and all the sand and all the water, especially when it’s hotter. but also when it’s cold cuz this lil guy is BOLD! his curiosity knows no bounds, and his joy finds its way to all the boys and all the girls he can find to play cuz there’s no other way to spend your time but making the most of every day.

lil nugget head is a big ol’ nugget now.
