For the person waiting for “the one.” ⬇️

I wish I could go back and tell the younger version of me what God was going to do with her story.

At 20, I was in a toxic relationship. At 21, I walked through heartbreak and lost what I thought was my dream job. I had no idea some things falling apart were making room for an entirely different life. 🙏🏼

At 22, I gave my life completely to Jesus. Then I met the man I would marry. We fell in love, got married, and I thought, “This is it. My life is finally beginning.” ❤️

But two weeks after our honeymoon, I became extremely sick. What I thought would be a short season turned into almost a decade. For 9½ years, I watched dreams get delayed—my health, motherhood, ministry, my career. ✝️

Then I watched God begin to restore what I thought I had lost. Healing. Motherhood. Ministry. Purpose. Dreams I thought I had missed started happening in ways I never could have planned. 📖

At 38, I was holding the miracle baby I once wondered if I would ever have.

And this week marks our 13th anniversary to the love of my life. ❤️ Through every high, every low, every prayer, and every season of waiting you’ve been right beside me.

So maybe “the one” you’re waiting for is a husband. Maybe it’s the baby. The healing. The breakthrough. The calling. The opportunity. The answered prayer.

Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean your story is over.

Don’t compare your timeline to someone else’s highlight reel. You have no idea what God can do with a chapter you never would have chosen.

👉🏼 Send this to someone still waiting for “the one.” God is still writing your story. ❤️

& if you want to get closer to God daily, follow Janice Armstrong 🤝

It’s easy to look at someone else’s life and wonder if you’re behind.

I know for me, life didn’t happen the way I thought it would. I got sick two weeks after getting married, and what I thought would be a short season turned into years of fighting for my health.

So many of the things I thought would happen in my 20s had to wait.

Motherhood. Ministry. My career. Writing a book. Moving. So many dreams felt like they were on hold while I was simply trying to get well.

But looking back now, I realize I wasn’t behind.

God was still writing my story.

I became a mom at 36.
I started my online ministry at 36.
My career took off at 36.
I made the move I had dreamed about at 37.
And at 38, I started writing my first book.

So don’t compare your timeline to someone else’s. And don’t assume that because it hasn’t happened yet, it never will.

Maybe you thought you’d be married by now, have children by now, be further in your career, healthier, or already walking in the dream God put in your heart.

Your waiting season is not the end of your story.

At 25, I could have never imagined how my life would unfold.

But at 38, I can look back and say: God really does come through.

There’s no prize for getting there first.

Trust God with your timeline. Keep going. Keep believing. Keep saying yes to Him.

You are not too late for what God has for you. ❤️

Prophetic Word: Some of you have been in a season where you’ve felt lonely, like, “God, how did I get here? How could this happen to me?”

It may feel like what you walked through tried to strip away your identity.

But what if what was meant to stop you… God is going to use to make you stronger and more alive than you’ve ever been?

What looks like loss right now may actually be where God is bringing NEW LIFE.

New dreams. New vision. New purpose.

📖 Genesis 50:20 — “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good…”

You may not see it or feel it yet, but God is preparing you, healing you, and restoring you.

Throughout Scripture, there were moments when everything looked dead and impossible.

BUT GOD.

And I believe your BUT GOD moment is coming.

Don’t give up just because you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel yet.

God is making a way even when you don’t see it.

You’re not coming out of this burned.

You’re coming out healed, whole, and victorious. 🤍

If this word is for you, receive it by faith.

How can I pray for you this week? 🙏

I’ll see you tomorrow. 🕊️

You say you trust God. ⬇️

But do you still trust Him when you don’t know what He’s doing?

It’s easy to say, “God, I trust You,” when life is going according to plan.

But what happens when the door doesn’t open?

When the prayer hasn’t been answered?

When what you thought would happen… doesn’t?

Sometimes we say we’ve surrendered something to God while still obsessing over the outcome, trying to control the timing, and worrying about every possible scenario.

That isn’t surrender.

Surrender says, “God, even if I don’t understand what You’re doing, I still trust who

Prophetic Word: Some of you are in a season where you’ve felt lonely, forgotten, and like everything God promised you looks completely opposite of what you’re walking through.

And I keep getting reminded of the story of Joseph.

God gave Joseph a promise.

Yet he was betrayed by his own family.

Falsely accused.

Thrown into prison.

And even forgotten there.

It didn’t look like things were getting better.

It looked like they were getting worse.

But God had NOT forgotten Joseph.

And He hasn’t forgotten you.

I believe the Lord is reminding you:

“You may not see Me working, but I’m preparing you. I’m healing you. I’m restoring you. I’m changing you so you can carry what I’ve called you to.”

What the enemy meant for evil, God can turn around for good.

📖 Genesis 50:20 — “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good…”

God isn’t asking you to be perfect.

He’s asking you to be faithful where you are.

The season that feels hidden may actually be the season where God is preparing you for what’s next.

He’s restoring what was lost—maybe not how you expected, but in the way you need.

📖 Galatians 6:9 — “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap…”

Don’t let what you see right now make you believe God has forgotten what He said.

Trust Him.

He’s not finished with your story.

If this word is for you, receive it by faith. 🤍

How can I pray for you this week? 🙏

I’ll see you tomorrow. 🕊️

Make a contract with yourself 🤍

If we haven’t met, my name is Janice, and my life today looks completely different than I once thought it would.

For almost a decade, I battled an illness that made me feel like my life was completely on pause.

I watched everyone around me move forward starting families, chasing dreams, walking in their calling while I felt stuck just trying to survive.

But during those years, the Lord had me write out my testimony as if it had already happened.

I declared I would be healed.

I declared I would have a family.

I declared I would speak to nations through social media—when I didn’t even have a social media presence.

None of it made sense based on what I could see.

But look what God has done. 😭

He healed me. He set me free. He gave me the family I prayed for. And now I’m sharing Jesus with people around the world through social media.

It didn’t happen when I wanted it to.

But God was faithful.

So I’m doing it again.

I’m looking at the things God has put in my heart that I haven’t seen yet, and I’m choosing to believe that the God who was faithful then will be faithful again.

So I’m making a contract with myself:

Six months from today, I’m coming back to this post.

Not because I know exactly what the next six months will look like, but because I know the God who has been faithful every step of the way.

I want to look back and see what He did in me, through me, and around me in just six months

So send this to yourself too.

Keep trusting God.

In 6 months from today, come back and see what He’s done. 🤍

Send this to yourself so you don’t forget.

Comment “Amen” if you’re believing God for something big this year I want to pray for you!

And follow Janice Armstrong if you want to grow closer to God daily with me.

When the path makes no sense ⬇️

Peter stepped out of the boat because Jesus told him to come.

And he actually walked on water.

But when he took his eyes off Jesus and started focusing on the wind and the waves, fear took over and he began to sink.

And we do the same thing.

We step out in faith.
We trust what God said.
We obey when He tells us to move.
Then circumstances start looking different than we expected.

And suddenly we wonder…

Did I hear God wrong?
Did I make the wrong decision?
Should I have stayed where I was?

But just because the path doesn’t make sense doesn’t mean God isn’t leading you.

📖 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways know Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Stop letting what you see make you question what God told you.

Peter didn’t start sinking because Jesus stopped calling him.

He started sinking when his focus shifted from Jesus to the storm.

Keep your eyes on Him. 🕊️

You may not understand the path right now, but you can trust the One who called you out of the boat.

What are you trusting God with in this season?

I heard someone say this, “Satan got Adam and Eve to focus on one fruit when God had given them a whole garden. That’s how he works.”

He gets you to focus on that one thing you don’t have instead of all the blessings you do have.

Trust that God knows what you need, and He will supply it when you need it.

The enemy will get you so focused on the 20% that isn’t going right that you completely forget about the 80% that is.

What they said.
What they did.
The relationship that didn’t work out.
The prayer that hasn’t been answered yet.
The thing you wish you had.

Meanwhile, you may have children who love you. A job you enjoy. Friends who care about you. A roof over your head. Food on your table. A car to drive. Eyes that can see. Legs that can walk. Lungs that are breathing today.

And somehow, that ONE thing can become louder than all of it.

That’s exactly what happened in the garden. Adam and Eve were surrounded by abundance, yet the enemy drew their attention to the one thing they couldn’t have.

Don’t let what’s missing make you blind to what God has already given you.

Sometimes the shift isn’t God changing your circumstances.

Sometimes it’s God changing what you’re focused on. ❤️

“Give thanks in all circumstances.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
