Located in the center of the beautiful town of Edgefield sits the ‘Edgefield Pool Room’. The town square of Edgefield has a nice small town nostalgia feel to it and it gets even better once you walk in the doors of the “Pool Room”. Wasn’t a lot of billiards goin’ on but it damn sure was some good cookin’ going on! The smiling hard workin’ Ladies shared the open kitchen for all us to see their creations laid up on the grill and to make ya mouth water! Greeted by a smiling staff and friendly patrons I felt right at home. This place is definitely worth a try not only for the burger but for the classic small town feel of America in the south that is sure to brighten your day. Russell Hodges is the proud owner of this ‘pizza place’ in my home town where me & my friends & family have been eatin here since I was a kid in the 90s. Maybe it’s because I grew up on it but I’ll put it against any pizza in the world. Never would I order pizza hut or dominos or papa John’s when I can support a small business like Russell’s and get better quality pizza but also better service because the staff is so friendly and very hard workers. Don’t wait til closing time to come here because if you do I might have eaten all the brownies as they cook them fresh daily. It’s a home town favorite and also my favorite so stop on by if you’re ever passing through the small but wonderful town of Williston located off Hwy 78 heading to Charleston in South Carolina! 🍕 oh yeah I almost forgot they have the best lunch buffet around Monday to Friday 11-2!! 🍽️

The big town of Aiken! Located about 15 miles from where I grew up and another 15 miles to the Georgia state line the charming city of Aiken is know as a southern horse town or sometimes called “thoroughbred country” as it has lots of folks from all over the world that come here for horse racing. Stables spread out from the center of town throughout the beautiful countryside. It has a historic downtown with shops and restaurants and of course everything a city needs but with a small town feel! ‘The Feed Sack’ takes all those elements and has created a restaurant that represents Aiken to the tee! High quality food in a classy joint but laid back and casual just how we like it in the south! Serve all that up with a fine glass of sweet tea and you got yourself a top notch establishment that the locals love! Come here for golf or come here for the steeplechase but when you do come here make sure you stop by and try my favorite sandwich for lunch.. and don’t skip out on the deviled eggs! Yummy in my tummy! 😋

Low country livin! I waited til the church crowd skedaddled outta there but I got there just in time to enjoy a nice southern cooked meal from the buffet at Paula’s! My favorite was the fried chicken and of course the sweet tea! Great friendly service and
