Phew! Wrapped up tracking for the LP! 14 songs. 3 different week-long sessions spread over a year. Songs written day-of recording them, with a core band of and with more drummers than anyone could keep track of. It’s brilliant and weird as s**t. Disco goth?? Sounds like Iggy! One of the many benefits working at a music venue is being able to blast your own s**t after the show is over. Just got the .bad.luck masters and goddamn this is the kind of rocknroll I’ve always wanted to record. Mean, dirty, live… great lyrics and almost every song about fu***ng lol. Great job on the mix . killed it mastering my super lofi recording (Christina wanted dirt so we put everything through some old tape machine preamps and the drums were done to one track through a broken compressor).. the record comes out Friday… release show at and I’m drumming with opening the show at 7pm. Great job everyone. ⚡️ Thanks for filming while my phone played the album.. loud!

I’ve been hanging around studios and making records for close to 20 years. Didn’t start engineering seriously until 2020, when I had the time and the guidance from my Grammy-winning maniac buddy . This year I turned 40, and, all at once it seemed, friends started trusting me to make records in my funky basement studio. A lot of s**t sucked this year, but getting paid a little to record some heavy stuff with great people did not. I know it’s a dying industry and everyone’s broke, but I still had my first great recording year. So thanks everyone. Let’s keep jt going.
