Acme Radio Live is an online radio station in Nashville, TN that operates out of Acme Feed & Seed. We are the unfiltered voice of Music City, showcasing all genres of music and broadcasting them worldwide. Our mission is simple: honor the past through preservation and look to the future by discovery. We celebrate heritage acts while shining a light on talented musicians who get by on a day job and

a dream. We do this by playing 60-70% local music, followed by carefully curated content recorded and mixed during our live in-studio performances or recorded shows from the Acme Feed and Seed stage and beyond. Along with a special event, non-profit sector of our station, Acme Radio Company, we have the ability to honor local music through charitable donations and special events that provide a safe space and platform for the music community in Nashville.

Big Guy & The Very Large Men is fronted by Nashville songwriting veteran, James Droll, who has carved out a reputation as one of Nashville’s most distinct q***r voices. Big Guy represents a newfound creative outlet for James highlighted by amplified expression and having the audacity to say the quiet part out loud.

Big Guys’s debut EP drops on June 26, with a show that night at American Legion Post 82 Inglewood 🤠

Introducing our best artist ever (of the month) for June, ❤️

Big Guy & The Very Large Men gives songwriter James Droll the platform to express the beauty, the danger, and the mess that comes with living an openly q***r lifestyle in the epicenter of the bible belt. Having grown up in Pleasantville, Ohio, on a llama farm and his family being deeply rooted in the evangelical church, it has been a journey to get to a place where Big Guy could even exist.

On June 26, Big Guy & The Very Large Men will release their debut EP, soft hands, hard times. Joined by contemporaries and friends like Fancy Hagood, Maddie Medley, and swim team, Big Guy & The Very Large Men take back the power from too much hateful rhetoric, all the while keeping Big Guy’s cheeky persona and soft, thoughtful approach to the music. Pair that with his sharp and quick witted songwriting and every issue feels like a conversation between friends with a big ol’ punchline at the end.
