Happy New Year, everyone! I will be posting one video a week this year from all the crazy fun musical times we have had over the past 45 years! Here's an excerpt featuring the late great Guy Clark from our Nashville Unlimited radio show on WPLN back in the late 90s. Guy was my first real Nashville gig back in the late 70s. He was in a great mood that day and as always, it was wonderful to play those amazing songs with him again. Enjoy!

This video is from Dave Pomeroy's radio show Nashville Unlimited, recorded live at WPLN in 1999. This segment features legendary singer/songwriter Guy Clark,...

The 26th Annual Nashville Unlimited Christmas last night at Christ Church Cathedral was a wonderful gathering of music, love, and raising awareness and much needed funds for Room in the Inn. Their work with Nashville's homeless community has changed countless lives for the better. As of this morning, we have raised $10,200 so far, and over 26 years, more than $560,000! Thanks to all our musical guests, and our surprise "mystery guests" as well.

To continue this fundraising effort, we are leaving the entire 12/9/2025 concert live stream up on the Cathedral's YouTube channel until 12/20/25. The donation link and QR code in the video are still active. We look forward to sharing the music and the love with as many people as possible, so please share the link below and donate if you can! We are blessed and grateful to everyone involved in this mission to help those in need turn their lives around.

Great Acoustic Alchemy show at the City Winery Atlanta. I was in a band with guitarist/composer/bandleader Greg Carmichael, 49 years ago while living in London, England for a year before moving to Nashville. in October 1977. A few months ago, Regina and I were in London and had a great visit with Greg and his wonderful wife Janet. They still live in the North London house we used to rehearse in all those years ago.

In the 1980s, Greg and his Acoustic Alchemy band partner, the late Nick Webb, came to Nashville after performing on a Virgin Airlines flight from London to the U.S. When I picked them up at the Nashville airport, they had a cassette of what became their first album, "Red Dust and Spanish Lace." I was blown away and was able to get them a meetimng with Tony Brown, who had created the MCA Master Series label featuring many of Nashville's top instrumentalists like Jerry Douglas, John Jarvis, and Mark O'Connor. Amazingly, within a few weeks they were signed to a record deal! They eventually became the best selling act on the MCA Master Series imprint. They went on to Blue Note and other labels and have released 25 albums! I am proud to have played on a couple of their albums over the years, including their latest, The Empire of Lights.

It was a great show, and the band sounded amazing, including brother Gary and Greg Grainger, and Greg's longtime cohort, Miles Gilderdale, on acoustic and electric guitars. So great to see my friend Greg onstage absolutely killing it. Thanks to Regina for taking the picture.
