Let's get busy General Assembly!

THE BEAT GOES ONE TOWARD LEGALIZING MA*****NA.
The latest significant development?
One of the country's largest employers is now on the record saying it's time to legalize pot in the U-S.
Amazon is now calling on Congress to pass federal legislation to do just that.
The company wants to decriminalize cannabis use -- medical and recreational -- nationwide.
Amazon says there are several reasons -- including that it's more difficult to screen job applicants for marijjuana -- since the laws vary from state to state.
Connecticut just became the nineteeth state to legalize recreational used of ma*****na.
It remains illegal in Tennessee.
It's worth noting, a CBS News poll found most American do support legalizing ma*****na ... similar polls show that holds true in Tennessee as well.
Most agree that a bill to legalize ma*****na in the Volunteer State would pass by a landslide if put to a vote of the people.
But, that decision rests only in the hands of state lawmakers who continue to find reasons not to legalize ma*****na.
You wonder if that will change -- if and when they decide failing to do so will hurt their re-election efforts.
Apparently, it's not at that point yet ... but, you figure elected officials are there to do the bidding of their constituents.
