Billy Blue Records Inks Chris Davis Band
New Music Coming in 2026

Billy Blue Records announces the signing of the Chris Davis Band, featuring the acclaimed mandolinist, singer, and songwriter best known for his standout work with Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers ("JMRR"). As JMRR wraps up its touring schedule in January, Davis will step into the spotlight with his new project, The Chris Davis Band, ushering in an exciting new era of storied career.

The Chris Davis Band features a stellar lineup of musicians and vocalists, with Chris Davis on mandolin and lead vocals, Will Teno on banjo, Swanagan Ray on guitar and vocals, and Zach Collier, Davis’s longtime JMRR bandmate, on bass and vocals. The band is in pre-production for new music slated for release in 2026 on Billy Blue Records.

“I really appreciate Ed Leonard and Jerry Salley for allowing me this opportunity,” shares Davis. “Working with Joe Mullins for the past several albums, I was so impressed with what Billy Blue Records did for its artists—from strong promotion and creative content to incredible recording facilities and producers. It’s truly a win-win.”

Billy Blue Records’ Jerry Salley added, “I have known Chris Davis for many, many years and have always considered him one of the finest mandolin players and vocalists in our industry. As a member of Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, he was already part of our Billy Blue family, and we’re honored and excited that he’s continuing the next part of his musical adventure with us. He has put together one heck of a band, and our entire team looks forward to representing the music of the Chris Davis Band for years to come!”

About Chris Davis:

A native of Kentucky, Chris Davis has earned a stellar reputation as one of bluegrass music’s most respected instrumentalists and vocalists. Over the past two decades, he has toured and recorded with an impressive roster of bluegrass greats including Larry Sparks & The Lonesome Ramblers, Junior Sisk & Rambler’s Choice, and Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, contributing to multiple award-winning projects and numerous Grand Ole Opry appearances. Known for his soulful voice, crisp mandolin style, and deep respect for the roots of bluegrass, Davis now brings those strengths to the forefront with his own band—blending tradition, innovation, and heart in equal measure.
