CANCELED FOR THE WEEK: All programming has been cancelled at 88.5 WVCP-FM to prevent spread of illness. "The Late Night Alternative" will not air this weekend, and I, Larry Lozano, will be releasing a special playlist in the near future that you can access so you won't have to miss the latest ALT hits! Vol State College Radio will be back March 23.

BREAKING NEWS: Spring Break extended for Vol State Students. Dr. Jerry Faulkner, President of Volunteer State Community College, responds to campus closure due to coronavirus concerns:

“Volunteer State Community College is closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19. At this point there is no evidence of COVID-19 at any Vol State campus nor among our college community. The safety and health of the Vol State community is our highest priority and we’re taking steps to ensure we do what we can to keep you healthy. Our secondary goal is to continue to provide you with a quality education. With this in mind, please be advised that Spring Break has been extended for students and there will be no classes for students March 16-21 at all locations. This will include online classes. Most campus events are also canceled. To check the status of a non-class campus event, check with the sponsor.

This will give us an opportunity to plan and prepare for how we provide classes going forward. Faculty and Staff from all locations will report to the Gallatin campus on Monday, March 16 to conduct in-service planning. All offices at all locations will be closed on Monday, March 16.

All Vol State offices at all locations will reopen to students for normal business hours starting March 17.

Many classes will go to an online only format starting March 23. See your Vol State student email for details...”
