A successful graphic designer with over ten years of experience in the industry always dreamed of becoming a full-time wildlife artist. While living in Durban, South Africa, he had limited access to fine arts training in various painting techniques, and there were few art galleries to display his work. On top of this, only the best artists made a living from their trade, so the designer’s friends and family advised him to stay with his graphic design business. After all, why would he leave a well-paying, steady job to start from zero in an unpredictable and uncertain industry?
However, the graphic designer had a competitive advantage; he had Christ inside him. In partnership with the Lord, the man pursued his dream regardless of the opposition. He would pray daily, asking God to equip him with supernatural help, as he explored different techniques. The artist rapidly grew his technique, performing his craft at a high level.
Within just six months of painting full-time, he was invited to establish an exhibit in one of America’s top wildlife art galleries in Florida! He had been told by other international artists that he would never get into this gallery as he had to “pay his dues” to the craft first.
However, the Holy Spirit is the best teacher, growing what He has already planted in each of us!
