WXNA WXNA-FM “Low Power, High Voltage” Radio https://linktr.ee/wxnafm Mark the spot, Nashville! WXNA-FM “Low Power, High Voltage” Radio is here!
(1)

Broadcasting at 101.5 fm from the urban core of Music City, WXNA is radio made in Nashville, for Nashville. On December 4, 2014, the FCC granted a construction permit to WXNA with a completion date of no later than June 4, 2016—and that is the date we went live. WXNA can also be heard at wxnafm.org and via the TuneIn app. The station features a freeform radio format similar to the former WRVU-FM N

ashville during its classic years, but also inspired by such freeform radio stations as WFMU-FM Jersey City, NJ, and KALX-FM Berkeley, CA. Freeform radio allows disc jockeys total freedom in the music they play (within FCC regulations), regardless of music genre or commercial interests. WXNA is here to produce unusual and eclectic cultural programming that reflects Nashville’s rich history and cultural diversity. As an outlet for a wide variety of community voices and viewpoints, the station will partner with local nonprofit organizations and other regional interests to provide specialized community-interest programming. We also hope to collaborate with local schools and universities, and will welcome applications from student DJs. As a 501c3, WXNA is a listener-supported radio station. Tonight from 6pm to 10pm, join for a one-night celebration of all the makers and artists who call The Forge their creative home. This year, rather than their typical ‘Forge Birthday’, they are throwing a kitschy, campy, block party, filling the ‘front lawn’ with artist-designed metal flamingos—each one a unique, sculptural take on the classic lawn ornament—and opening the doors to you for an evening of exhibitions, music, drinks, and a Family Recipe Contest. They’ll also be showcasing work from members and artists in residence, giving tours throughout the facility, and curating a few unexpected moments tucked throughout the space. The Forge is located at 217 Willow St.

This important event raises critical funds for The Forge’s community programs—studio residencies for local artists, youth and continued education, and their Future Makers initiative. Your ticket directly supports everything it takes to keep a space like this thriving. It also includes access to the party, open bar, and a table full of lovingly made family-style dishes. WXNA DJs will be there spinning great music for you all night! Tickets and info at the link in The Forge’s bio. 🦩🎶🍹

Come out and show your support, celebrate, and spend the evening surrounded by all this fabulous creative energy!
