IMPORTANT MESSAGE from WXNA:
We're all melting during these dog days of summer, and that includes our signal. The tower where our transmitter is located has a cooling problem, i.e. the AC in the building is inadequate to handle the job. We are in the process of finding a temporary fix to keep it cool, before a permanent fix is implemented in two weeks. We apologize for the inconvenience of hearing static instead of our great programming from our deejays. BUT we are still going strong on-line at wxnafm.org. We hope you can join us there. And please bear with us. We love our listeners, and feel terrible about our overheated transmitter.

After two weeks off, I'm back on the Hipbilly Jamboree today with a washtub full of hipbilly tunes, songs by some of my dad's favorite singers in observance of what would've been his 97th birthday, and a special tribute to late and great troublemaker, Kinky Friedman!

A special “Thank You” to everyone that stepped up and showed their support for freeform community radio in Nashville by making a donation or becoming a sustaining member of WXNA 101.5 FM last week during our Winter Membership Drive! The last two years have been especially hard on many non-profits, but we’ve tightened our belts and struggled through. This drive, however, turned out to be our most successful fundraising campaign yet. As we rumble toward the our seventh anniversary of being on the air, the future is looking bright, and we’ll keep on keeping the Music in Music City!
