There are many reasons you should never drink and drive and let Angela “Angel” Loupe be a reason. MNPD says John Baudendiste was charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication for Sunday's multi-vehicle crash on I-24 East near the Bell Road exit that killed 51-year-old Angel.
Angel’s sister Lori Tenaglia told me they just want to honor her life and raise awareness about the devastating consequences of drunk driving.

"The drunk driver didn't just take Angel from us; he shattered our family. There's a permanent void, a silence where her voice should be, a pain that echoes through every single day. We are forever changed, forever grieving."

This is not the ending I was hoping for. MNPD has confirmed that the remains found back in January have been positively identified as those of 85-year-old missing woman Lucy Buchanan. Police say no foul play is suspected. I also did the story back in January when a father and his son found human remains while going on a nature walk and those are the remains that have been identified of Miss Lucy.

I was one of the first people to interview Lucy’s daughter in hopes of finding her mom who was reported missing back in December 2021. I truly hope this news brings the family some measure of closure.

It was a much needed and fun trip to Las Vegas. I spent four nights in Sin City. I gambled and didn’t win, but I won when it came to giving myself a much needed break. Thanks to my colleagues and NC5 photographers for letting me tag along.

Everything from my doest WNBA game to National parks, it was a blast. Also, it was very hot!

Back to work on Monday.
